Today's Note👇 අද සටහන👇 This is the method by which people in our villages produce coconut oil in the nineteen hundreds. At that time, when the spring festival was approaching, the first thing our people did was to produce fresh coconut oil. Do you know why.. Because a lot of oil is needed to prepare food during Surya Mangalla(Traditional New Year Festival) After producing this oil, we use this oil to prepare sweets for the New Year festival. When this oil is made, two other types of food are made automatically. We are used to distributing them to the villagers. Since it is rare, it is also offered to Buddha. This act of announcing that the spring festival is coming is very wonderful. So.. Thank you very much for coming to experience the past beauty of the twentieth century in the present. I'm your loving Udarata Manike ( A traditional woman from Kandy era)

Oil . It is probably the most important of all wonders of Nature . Why ? All forms of life , after travelling through several stages of life ,finally reaches the most divine phase of life , that is , "" Oil "" . In fact , in our eastern tradition , " oil " is named "" NEI "" , which means " the divine essence of life " - AMIRTHAM " . When I mentioned " all forms of life " I meant all life forms ,.without exception . When each and every stage of life is perfectly lived & crossed , and passed through , the final stage that any life form would eventually reach is, the stage of amirtham , or , nei or Oil . The point here is , that , any individual of any form of life will have to travel and successfully go through all stages of life to reach the final Divine stage called Oil or amirtham . Your method of making oil also passes through several stages which are the exact replica of the stages that any life would have to pass through to reach the final Divine stage , that is , nei or Oil. And each stage produces something special , like the milk porridge , the extraordinarily flavoured , nutritious cakes ete , that will go to the people , exactly like the services any individual would do to others during the passage of the several stages of life . When our ancestors offered the " first Oil " to The Almighty Buddha , they meant exactly the same , that , they prayed the Lord to offer them the life of fulfilment , that is , a life that would pass through all the stages successfully & reach the final stage of " amirtham " . Offering coconuts to the Lord Ganesh also is of the same prayer exactly . There is a casual surprise : filtering & separation is always downstream but here ,when you used a coconut shell with a hole , it was upstream by creating a fountain ! Fountain filtering !! This beautiful video cast bears so much information that this comment is also a bit long . . . Thank you . Wish your goodself a very happy & prosperous new year !
