Thanks! I do all of my own work. This modification is still working for me to this day.

I have 35s on my wj with an arb locker up front. This is my favorite setup. Looking good.
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Sounds like you have a solid setup too! I love the current stage of mine, but its definitely far from done.
@denniswarner21502 жыл бұрын
I agree. A little more bump stop. Your Jeep DOES have a great stance!
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Probably will end adding longer bumps for its next phase, but for now it at least worth experimenting with full up travel!

Safety third man. Awesome video, keep 'em coming. Jeep looks mean from the front.

All about safety over here on Engineering Overland. Thanks man! Appreciate the support.

I appreciate your videos showing your attempt to keep from cutting up your rig, I also have been working on a super clean wj, 2002 with just 85k miles, running a clayton long arm, made the same a adjustments you have made in an effort to not trim the sheet metal, I don't believe you would lose any capability with a bit more bumpstop,, it'll be worth it. Safety third... take it from someone who knows,,, star wearing a decent set of gloves when you use that grinder
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And I agree. At some point I probably will need to do some extended bump stops. But it’s at least worth experimenting in the meantime. And I’d say other than a couple small areas, I’ve gotten it pretty dang close as is. Has worked quite well for me offroad. And honestly, I usually do wear gloves. Not sure why I wasn’t here. The guard must’ve been doing a good job that day.

Looks great what types of bump stops y’all running and have lifted 4inch IRO WHAT BUMP STOPS. critical path!

Thanks! I’m still running the stock bump stops.

That area looks fun! is that your backyard?
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
Yeah! Nothing too crazy for offroading, but still like to go mess around out there every now and then (and comes in handy for stuff like this). Working to make more fun/challenging trails.

If you're worried about scratching your wj don't take it off road....... 🤣
@engineeringoverland Жыл бұрын
Don't see your point here
@joshuahockman1128 Жыл бұрын
@@engineeringoverland that's not my problem that you can't see the point. Which is as follows, when you take your rig off road it gets scratched if your worried about it getting scratched don't take it off road.... 🤷 What's so hard to understand about the point I made? Did you drop out of school or something? That's basic comprehension. I mean explained like you were 5! 🤣 Put it this way. You don't go around sticking metallic items in wall sockets because you don't want to be electrocuted. The same logic applies here, it's basic common sense. If you don't want to scratch it don't take it off road.... 🤣🤣 Hope for humanity is slowly depleting due to your incompetence!

Had to subscribe to your channel I lost you there for a while but I have a question for you are you running stock axles for your 35s
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for subscribing! And yes, for the mean time the axles are both stock.

Can you give a little more info on your bumper. I’m sure you built or built onto it I have an 04 that I’m struggling with what I want to do
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
The Bumper actually came from D Till Fabworks, but I have also cut away a lot more material in the front than required. There are several options for bumpers, but if you're looking for something as functional as possible I would stick with D Till, HK Offroad, or Trail Forged.

What size wheels are you running?

Sick wj man what size lift are you running? Gotta be 6+ inches. I'm about to put Clayton long arms under mine at about 7" of total lift.
@engineeringoverland Жыл бұрын
Thanks. This is 8" of lift.

I'm curious, what was your anti-sway bar setup for that?

JKS quick disconnects up front. The rear is still connected. Both stock sway bars.

What are the build details of the jeep
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
I get this question a lot and probably should make a walk around video explaining everything. But in simple, I'm running an 8" rock link long arm kit, 17x8.5" wheels and 35/12.5 tires. Varliock diffs front and rear.

Well thank you did real well for 35's so not having to cut the fenders I wouldn't want to cut mine either butcher the truck they look good just the way they are
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
I agree. Definitely worth experimenting first before hacking it all up. A tiny bit more bump stop and it would honestly be perfect, but even the way I have it, I’d say it works pretty dang well.
@andrewholden75032 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply I look forward to watching more of your platforms for I have prescribed now
@kevinclevenger87412 жыл бұрын
Put some longer bump stops .so you dont get in to everything.
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
Probably what I will end up doing at some point, but for right now I wanted to see how well I could make them fit with the full up travel. I've got it really close now, other than that one corner.

Nice work, do you have any lockers or gearing?

Just adjust your bump stops ..problem solved
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
Whenever I feel like modifying my factory bump stops or someone sends me some adjustable ones, I'll do that. For now, it hasn't been a big issue.

What lift, and what mod in the rear?
@engineeringoverland2 жыл бұрын
8" Rock Link. All I've done to clear in the rear was trim the bumper and modify the EVAP. You can see exactly what I did here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l37Gpo2vg6pojKs&ab_channel=EngineeringOverland
