Nice content man! Explained the whole process very nicely. That "flutter" you're talking about is called compressor surge. It's basically air being forced back out through the compressor because the throttle body is snapping shut and the built air has nowhere to go. Venting all the air completely to the atmosphere would eliminate that and kill boost between shifts as you mentioned, but the spacer seems to give a bit of both worlds, with the recirculation to keep the MAF happy and a bit of VTA for those nice Pshhhh noises. 5:51 - I thought my turbo is broken as it made like eliptic sound (uneven whistle) but now I see most of 2.0TFSI turbines sound the same. Great vid, will buy myself a Diverter :D

8 speed auto the least sporty in this car ? Bro I have the 6 speed auto tip tronic, it’s only 2 gear less but man there’s a world of difference between both, better acceleration from a stop and top end, better gas mileage, less drone and quicker shifts, like that’s actually the best one if you care about performance, I might actually swap mine eventually

My girl friend has the 6 speed and she always would beat me off of a start so that's what I based my opinion on. It also has different gear ratios which make different turbo noises when you shift. That's what I was trying to get across when I talked about the transmissions. I love my 8 speed though, makes road trips way better.

TDIs usually sound pretty good with some intake/exhaust mods. We don't have TDI A4s in the US so I can't really speak on specific parts, but if you get an intake (like you the one you said you have) and a mild exhaust I bet it would sound good

On the muffler delete the 034 part did u have to mail a gasket for it or did u just installed it without??

will this make a stock a4 2012 flutter? im looking to buy a used a4 soon and i’m wondering if the turbocharger in the car will flutter or if i’ll need the turbo muffler delete and or air intake to also achieve the way your car sounds?

I bet it would give it a small flutter but you’d definitely want the intake for some loud flutters

Not really, you might deal with a bit more lag from the turbo after letting off but that's just the trade off for the "cool factor"

I have an intake, turbo muffler delete, and this spacer. Im sure if you did something similar with your TDI the turbo will sound wild. They already sound cool stock lol.

i can’t seem to get the screws off and it’s taken a couple hours but still can’t get it, too small of a space

Sorry, this is a year late but if you are going from the top, it is a lot harder to get to. I helped a friend do it from the top and I had to use a small mirror and a flex head rachet. You could also look into a pass-through ratchet that lets you get into much smaller spaces

Sorry this is a year late. I could see it from the bottom but if you are going from the top I'd recommend using a mirror and a flex head rachet. You could also look into a pass-through ratchet if it is too tight to fit regular tools.
