I’ve been so inspired by your videos - I loved DIY and fixing things myself AND using up things I already had, and lately I’ve rly maximized that to fix up so many of my clothes, storage, etc. It’s rly helped me with being in a transitional phase of my life where I don’t have a permanent home and therefore fewer things but also a feeling of being untethered. Taking care of my things and my living environment is really comforting, and makes me feel like I’m rly taking charge of cultivating my own home. 🧡

This is so interesting! I never thought that you could make your own perfume! I was wondering, how do you apply the perfume? Do you simply drop a few drops on your wrists? And would these recipes work for a spray bottle? Great video!
@KlairedeLysOfficial5 жыл бұрын
I tap a drop onto my finger tips (like they used to do with the old 1920 dropper bottles) and apply it that way.

I've used 190 proof vodka, aka everclear, and it works well. The oils don't separate out.

Does anyone know if EverClear of moonshine would do better with perfume making than vodka? I know they have a higher alcohol content so would that make them a better substitute or would it all basically be a wash?

Hi Klaire, I have an honest question and I really do not want to upset you, but I am just extremely curious. You seem to be living in a natural and more organic and healthier way, which is very great and some parts of your life style are definitely things I want to adapt in my own life style. I suppose your child is also being raised in this manner, but will he be ( you have a son, right?) able to build resistance against the components in every day products ( for example the soap for washing clothes , conservatives in foodetc)? I mean, will he not be too sensitive for the products ‘normal’ people use? I truely hope I did not offend you, I just wanted to know your opinion on this matter :). I am also very sorry if my english is sort of incomprehensible, it is not my mother tongue.
@ManaDax5 жыл бұрын
@yulyu Thank you for your explanation! I want to make some changes to my life style as well, but don't want it to be negative for my future children in the long run, so I have been thinking and thinking... Your answer seem very logical! I will definitely keep it in mind.
@geenoodle47575 жыл бұрын
ManaDax I’m not being rude to the nice person that answered your question , but I would advise doing (lots of ) your own research about whether a sheltered and completely organic lifestyle is safe for a child if you plan on raising your future children this way. It is absolutely vital that you know all the pros and cons before making up your mind :)

I do not want to sound mean, but in the past 1 year , the quality of your videos had dropped tremendously. These 1-2 minute videos can be barely called videos, more like tiny infomercials so you get the money from your patreons... Like scrubbing a sticker with oil, for a video, really? :S
@KlairedeLysOfficial5 жыл бұрын
Really? Personally, I thought they'd massively improved, especially filming wise. Yes, last weeks video was incredibly short and simple, but it didn't need to be any longer than it was. It was a tip I'd personally found incredibly useful, so I wanted to share it. Some of the videos like that one will be super simple, but I'm trying to balance them out between videos like this and my beeswax wrap video which were a lot more involved. I still need to find the right balance, but I'll get there :)

I disagree, I really love these simple straight to the point videos! They're informative, interesting, and unlike any other videos i've seen that are ten minutes long for the same result. They are a great way to sumarise the blog posts in my opinion. Plus, despite being short, they are really well filmed and edited, which makes them delightful to watch. But then again, this is just my opinion!

@@KlairedeLysOfficial Yeah, i didn't mean it filming wise, that's nice for sure. More like length and topic wise. But do whatever you like, obviously :) Have a nice weekend.
