Have you tried cooking breadsticks or bratwurst in it? Or you could run a water loop through a few of the pipes to heat a big storage tank (useful for keeping the garage above freezing overnight with way less effort and fuel). I'm trying to find a silver lining here. Your heat exchanger has half the surface area (according to my eyeballs) as the outside of the stove and I'm skeptical that the blower fan is spreading the hot air very far away from the stove. Put in a cieling fan and compare them. I bet you the cieling fan works better. You have a moral obligation to tell people whether or not this thing was worth the effort, not just if it works at all. Build quality and creative use of available materials is awesome though.

I believe us should have at least one foot or great air space away from combustible materials. You have maybe 1 inch air space from the wood desk. I think you have a bigger problem then the LP tanks.
