It's too bad none of that paint will hold up. This is a quad that should have been taken apart and powdercoated which would have been the right thing to do. Or at the very least used a proper high temp engine enamel on the motor. These are getting somewhat rare and its rushed work like this that makes them worth less. Noticeable overspray, paint will definetly chip. Plastics need sanding a buffing, or replacements for the cracked panels. Should really just restore this one properly or sell it to someone that will, along with a full engine rebuild and get it running correctly.

ColtsFan 1991 because the zilla overall looks clean and nice condition ...but the rear looks like Frankenstein cracks all in the back...missing a chunk ....has rivets all in the back to hold the cracks together...he should get a used nice condition rear plastic and then put the new 500 decal will look mint...that’s what I would do....I have a 1990 lt250r quadracer I restored it to all oem and looks flawless

For the plastics, I use a heat gun and go back over it after it cools with Lemon Pledge. It sounds crazy but it makes the color and shine come back to almost new.

hey just so you know making a motored powered vheichal mint does not just mean paint the rust over it takes a lot more work than that. as well a project quad or bike is not just painting 2 things and saying hey its brand new the piston in that thing is probably like 20 years old and other things like suspension and stuff need redone I hope you will take this stuff into consideration.

Just some constructive criticism, you shouldn’t half ass a job when working on dirt bikes or quads. I understand time can’t be a problem, but it doesn’t take much effort to pull a engine and paint it or take off the a-arms to paint them. Also I know you’re going to do whatever you want to the bikes and quads, but before you even ride it, please check the oil, spark plug, air filter etc. Ripping on a bike you don’t know the maintenance records on probably isn’t the best idea.

I bought a Polaris sportsman 500 a while back and it did the same thing. I cleaned the carb, it did nothing. I bought a new one, it did nothing, put new fuel and fuel lines in it, and still did nothing. I took the head off and the lobes on the camshaft were so worn down and almost round. I had no time for it so I just sold it

@@2vintage Just as people say in the comments, spray painting is not the way to go, you're kinda guessing how you do jetting and handle engines that run too rich or lean properly... I feel like you don't really care, im not hating but your machines should be done good before you sell them. You won't regret and people will be a lot more positive about your videos.
