Joe my friend had that same UTV and the same issue at 790 miles on it, he was pissed after paying over $18K for it, and he talked to a dealer mechanic on his lunch break, that said it was a known issue, but there was no upgrade for the stock shitty nylon gears, and said "Fudge this" he got the replacement nylon gear set for all 4 of them and took them to his local machine shop that did CNC work and had them make all 4 gears out of billet aluminum they only charged him $45.00 for each gear. He installed the NEW gears and said he has never regretted it. He has over 2,800 miles with no problems. Just an FYI, some aftermarket place should make them out of billet aluminum like he did. lol Just saying! Oh plus we get a 3 in one video, nice job Joe.

a tip for taking flywheels and things apart, when you have the puller on it with alot of tention, try taking the socket off, and hitting the end of the puller bolt with a aheavy hammer, the shock will break loose stuck tapers and things. works everytime ,60 % of the time :)

Joe on the garden, anytime you decide to plant, get you a Ph balance kit from anywhere like Lowes, Home Depot.., and test the area where you want to plant. In other words make sure you have the correct Ph balance for the crops you want to plant, and adjust accordingly; you may need certain minerals to add, or certain conditions for the plants. It's a science, and what you learned so far is that hearty veggies such as pumpkins can grow with a little tweaking. Hint: Gardens in unpopulated areas like your land will have more hungry animals like deer, raccoons, skunks..,munching on your veggies. Suggestion: Plant closer to your house.

Plastic gears are usually on purpose to fail instead of a metal gear that might seize and grenade the entire engine. Maybe softer aluminum or pot metal might last longer. Now the oil pump gear being made of plastic is another story if that seizes the engine won't last much longer anyways. The water pump fails you have indications of overheating. The oil pump fails unless you have an oil pressure gauge the engine is toast.

Looking at the gear, based on your camera shots, it would appear that there is damage to some of the teeth that could, if left, cause further damage once reassembled. Speaking from experience.

Seems like there should be a sensor for overheating that would either alert the operator or shut the engine down.

I don’t know jack about SxS but they are crazy popular where I live. I see more Can Am maverick’s then any other brand. My buddy had the turbo version and holy crap it was insane.

Did you try putting a little heat into that flywheel? I ha e found that 30 or 40 seconds with a MAPP gas or propane torch can really help

You should definitely invest in a better impact gun. When using a puller you can try with a hammer, torque down the puller couple wacks torque it more couples more wacks. Ive found the sharp impact helps a lot. Wacks not beating you don’t want to mushroom the tool or worse the crank
