Hey guys, sorry that this is later than usual. As it turns out when you report on disappearances that are primarily reported on in a different language, it's a lot of work. Google translate is amazing and all, but it only gets you part of the way there. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the matter. Also, what did you think of the notecards I included in the video? I think it looks okay, but I'm mostly hoping that it made it easier to keep the circumstances in mind as we progressed through, let me know! Be safe all.

For the 485 vs 1000+ number for the number of people that where with him, was this written out in words or in the numerals? I cant remember if it was Spanish or another language, but one of my old vocab words was basically the equivalent of "many" and translated to something like "greater than a thousand." So the word specified a number but was just meant to convey a great number. Idk if it could be something like that causing the issue with the different number of people in the articles but just in case it helps.

One thing I'd like to add that applies to all of your missing people videos. I was a firefighter and paramedic until I retired. 3/4 of all of our calls were medical in nature, so that was the bulk of my experience. Nearly every day we had at least one call where a person was experiencing some new illness they had never dealt with before, things like adult onset diabetes, heart disease, brain tumors. There are so many things that can go wrong in the human body, especially when under the stress of running or hiking. There are times that people experience some new medical emergency that has a negative impact on how clearly they think and how they may react ina given situation. They may do things that don't make sense and are out of ordinary for them. Otherwise healthy people can have new medical problems pop up, I've seen it many many times. With an altered level of consciousness or low blood sugar(for example) people can make odd choices. With all due respect to the beliefs of the Malaysian people, I would lean towards medical problems before I tried to explain it with elves.

Hey adam. Few things to add here. Mohd or Muhd is short for Muhammad or Mohammad. It's common to shorten the spelling to Mohd or Muhd here in Malaysia as to spell the full word would be too long. Also Acap is pronounce as Ac(h)ap. The letter C in malay is always pronounced as 'ch', like in chair or charm, as opposed to car or cat. If you need any malay to english translation work in the future, let me know. Good job on the video.

Hi Adam, here is another story of missing children in Malaysia. The article is in Malaysia language and I did a quick google translate. "At around 10.30am on November 6, 2004, Baharudin Sallehuddin, 6, along with his brother, Budin, 5, and Asmira, 3, disappeared while playing near a hut built by his father at the Felcra Mambang Seberang rubber plantation, Paloh Hinai, Pekan , Pahang. The mystery is that these three brothers were rediscovered five days later on a small island filled with bushes and surrounded by swamps, six kilometers from the hut where they were last seen! What happened to them? The story told by these three siblings is very strange. Baharudin said, due to their playfulness, they had walked up to 1.5 kilometers from the hut. That's when they came across a sasa-bodied man carrying a black dog. The man ordered Baharudin, Budin and Asmira to sit behind the dog, then the animal took them for a walk. Arriving somewhere, the dog jumped over a 10 meter wide ditch that separated Felcra Mambang Seberang from the surrounding area. The three siblings were taken for a walk until they reached Tanjung Cempaka, Lepar, six kilometers from Felcra Mambang Seberang. Late in the afternoon, the sasa-bodied man, who was full of fur, ordered his dog to swim across a swamp. Carrying the three siblings on his back, the dog swam until it reached an island full of bushes. Around the island is only a 1.2 meter deep swamp. Baharuddin and his siblings were brought down from behind the dog. Towards dusk, a grandmother came and gave them fruits. There Baharudin, Budin and Asmira were stranded, until they were found by the police five days later, at 5.45 pm on 10 November 1995. Dear readers, what happened is a mystery. A sane mind could not answer the question of how the three siblings could reach the island. It is also impossible for them to go that far and cross a 10 meter wide ditch, if not assisted by `something."

12:34 SRG in this context is a colloquial spelling for the word "seorang" in malay, which translates to "a person". 16:58 dizzy in this context means the dogs were in the state of confusion as they couldn't detect acap's scent beyond the spot that the dogs had stopped on their tracks. 28:44 chillies in this context refers to chilli tree in the middle of the jungle as reported in the original news source.

People are concerned, but the main question is, HOW DO YOU HANDLE SOMETHING YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT? We may know where this young man was, (on a running route in the park) but for one moment he was alone & he disappeared. Who do you call? What devices or technical equipment do you take? What kind of science do you apply? There are absolutely no leads, no evidence either way. When something supernatural takes place the science, logic & common sense of this world does not apply & cannot be applied.

Just watched until the end. There are a few indigenous cryptids & spiritual beings in Malaysia along with what the Malaysians call "Dirty forests" where these beings live, many of whom are of a spiritual form, some are associated with large termite mounds, others to caves. I believe the area he went missing in IS one of those areas. Now here are the things that l noticed about this story, having some knowledge of Malaysia. Regards the foul smell, the largest flower grows in Malaysia it's called a corpse flower it really stinks as does the worlds smelliest fruit the durian, so don't worry about the smell. The fact that other human bones in the area were found IS very worrying. Lastly, when you hear of the Missing 411 in America & Canada you've got to remember those areas have lots of trails whereas the jungles of South East Asia & Malaysia are thicker and they are a lot more inhospitable. People there DO NOT go off the main tracks because of the wildlife or superstition. Jungles there are NOT places of recreation. Many villagers who live in jungle villages use main roads, or a few tracks only and rarely ever go deep into the jungle unless on main tracks. My point being people do NOT find smaller tracks and 'disappear'. The fact villagers 'saw' torches or people going to the top of the hill at night IS worrying. Whether of a supernatural or human abduction and a later cover up. Anything is possible there. The fact it is a "dirty forest" in an area of "beings" with deep virgin jungle, rocks water & caves IS worrying... again in an area that other human remains were found in & where villagers claim to have seen "beings" walking at night to the to of the hill IS worrying. You've watched the Whicker Man yes? Well in Malaysia there are villages in the middle of no where, where life goes on in an almost medieval way that gave me the creeps. Anything's possible in this case?

As far as the indigenous peoples of the area and their beliefs.....we native Americans use to talk about giants and everyone thought it was stories , until we found denisovian in a cave.. and everyone laughed at the idea of little people, until homoflorences, who were only a few feet talll were discovered...there’s a whole world of things out there that have never been seen. People believe in god and heaven,,,have ether of those ever been seen or photographed? Anyone ever come back from heaven and tell you about it? Believing in spiritual elements is not different than believing in god. I love the amount of care and respect you give all your classes and it’s your open mindedness that makes you one of the better ones.KEEP IT UP!!!!!!!

I'm from Ireland and I can assure you that there's thousands of similar stories about changelings, the Fae and sidhe. I have experienced strange things in rural areas, I'm a logical guy. But have an open mind, thankfully my conscience is clear and I think that's what keeps me safe and alert. I haven't hiked at night in my usual place lately because I don't feel it's good to do so it's less nerving from August until October Any sceptics I know will not venture these places or interfere with hawthorn tree's or fairly fort's ie ringforts and wedge tomb's and Portal tomb's, but yet they scoff at these stories. Go figure. Investigating these places is best alone, mobile phone, trail cams or go pros...the experience is better without but if you feel safer bring your phone.. Any one willing to try a location in the Burren in Co Clare Ireland... around old mystical tomb's and ringforts.. I'll happily give directions and find out for yourself...

I have many friends in the Malaysian armed forces who goes into the Malaysian jungles and they have related the rules to be followed when going into the jungle. Seems to be pretty consistent among these friends (not necessary from the same circles). I don't know if they were just having fun at my expense. :-) Many Chinese Malaysians have also build shrines that look like small huts in many places in honour of the local "datuk". Datuk may be translated as "grandfather" or a title akin to "sir" (as in Sir Galahad) conferred by a sultan (king). These datuks are believed to be the guardians of the area, and should be respected. I once worked for a conglomerate with a division that does quarrying. Every so often they would have prayers and offerings to the datuk of the site where they would be quarrying so that accidents and other bad things would be avoided.

Adam, think you might be interested in getting more details on the following story which apparently was in several different newspapers in 1783 or 1784, reprinted again in 1920s. The story goes that in 1868, a three year old girl disappeared from her father’s lumber camp in Northern Michigan. After the father noticed her missing, he was able to get help from a pair of hunters, who happened on the scene by chance, the men traced the little girl’s feeble cries to a dense stand of brush. When the men advanced on the thicket, they saw what they said looked like a giant bear burst from it and run across the river, heading for the distant horizon. The men recovered the girl unharmed from the brush. She later told them that “Mr. Wolf” would not let her leave, and had eaten her hat from right off her head; although, he had also gathered berries and fed them to her.

In South East Asia, most unexplained abduction are attributed to Fairies, they are either taken to their realm, in other words their dimension, or are placed in a limbo. In some instances the missing people are returned unharmed, or returned after some ritual are done. It is in contrast to western perspective where an unexplained abduction are done by extraterrestrial and are taken using UFO. In Asia, the abduction are by terrestrial being of another dimension which is more plausible in my opinion, which would explain some of the missing 411 mysteries in north america. In Asia the the belief is UFO are more of interdimesional transport for terrestrial spiritual beings.

I think you have done a stellar job of reporting, well done. I was just replying to a fellow Scotsman @Stewart Meetball & probably should of made that comment here but i am in agreeance with his comment being i am a scots-woman & know of our Faery lore but in my research, i have come to know a little bit of Muslim Lore too. So taking Muslim knowledge in to account, the subtle beings to which they refer to are the Jinn or Djinn, they are created rather than born therefore Supernatural in essence, their world intersects with ours & tends to be where mountains, rock & water are "so forests". In our Scots, Irish & Welsh-English Lore, when walking in their terrain, an offering is made of sweeties or cakes & acknowledging that we are in their home & we wish to pass through safely. Alas with the multitude of distractions in this world, we having forgotten or worse have no knowledge about these beings & they are easily offended. I am feeling sad for Mohammad, if their Imam's or spiritual "lets say Shamans", were unable to secure his release, i pray that his remains or live body be returned to his family.

@@stewartmeetball3417 As a fellow Scot i agree with you. By all intensive purposes it sounds like a Fae story but sadly many take the Lore as "make believe" or stories made up for children. What the eye(s) cannot see is hard to believe or so it seems but i think the Malaysian People use a great descriptive account, calling them subtle beings. They are very real & have the ability to be stealthy to our eyes but we are not without senses, we can describe the presence as "feeling like you are being watched", you know something is afoot but cannot see anything which really does catch us unaware. However different our cultures may be, we can still note the sameness or likeness to our own Lore. In countries that are predominantly Muslim, they do have a comprehensive understanding & teachings about these beings, they call them the jinn or Djinn. On listening to 411 missing video's, it is my intuition that tells me that these missing cases are the jinn or in our culture, the Fae. Sadly many folks are dismissive, this is disappointing but not unexpected, until you see the many subtle appearances of these beings personally, be it cryptid or human like, it is hard to prove. It is my opinion only but if their Imams or Spiritual people could not get these beings to release Mohammad or his body, he will never be found. For his family's sake i pray for his release or his remains to be found for closure.

If anyone ever says “animal attacks are the least likely explanation because there is no evidence” you know they don’t know anything about the skills of an effective man eater. Malaysia is home to its own tigers, which are the strongest of wild cats, powerful enough to kill bears, and they are intelligent, although the behavior of them would generally be more obvious with more people missing, if their target got away on foot they would hunt them, it’s just because they are vengeful and escape is an insult. They are also territorial which suggests it’s not a tiger but as I mentioned, escape is an insult to them, they will hunt down a target as long as it lives or seems like it’s alive.

It's actually not a large or abnormal amount of people that go missing, you have to think about how many people go hiking and whatnot everyday and how many of those said people are careless, under prepared and overconfident. With all those factors taken into account its a small fraction of people. That being said these occurances should and could be covered more often and much more seriously...

They talked about how when they first moved there they cut down many trees and they would have dreams of forest spirits. Also mentioned being tempted to enter their invisible world but if they are lost within themselves or disrespectful you can be taken to the dark side of that hidden world, lost forever. And just casually mentioned a few different things. I was like wow, okay. Then I see this video. Super strange and interesting.
