This wasabi company (Pacific Coast Wasabi) is EXCELLENT. Their product is of very high quality and I have ordered it many times over in the past 7-8 years. I live in Kelowna, BC and whenever I visit the company website, I usually order somewhere in the range of $ 150-- $185 worth online and the wasabi package comes to my porch in a very thermo-stable packaging. It is my belief that Dr Brian Oates probably packages his produce personally as the package is obviously given a lot of care so as it arrives without any complaints form the consumer. If you have never had REAL wasabi, then you are in for a real treat. There is nothing like making one's own wasabi paste using a sharkskin (pebbly / rough ridden) dish which is also available on his website (a must purchase, in my opinion). I prepare my own sushi / sashimi from time to time, and there is nothing like the addition of Pacific Coast Wasabi root paste on my served sushi dishes. Do not feel any hesitation to order from this company. -David from Kelowna

I mean, the interviewer IS French, probably Quebecois, which means that he will have a VERY strong accent, and likely just as strong an indifference towards pronunciations of words from other languages.

The most interesting part about his method is that wasabi leaves don't like to be saturated....... Very interesting

One of my powdered "wasabi"s has ~1/3 real wasabi in it. I don't like it so much, but have no idea if that's because of the real wasabi part or not. But man, I'd sure like to try 100% wasabi some day! Send some...please!!!

It's likely because of the fake Wasabi, it is Horseradish.

Not likely, they're in the warmer climes of British Columbia, which rarely sees snow, and doesn't freeze as much as places in Alberta, and other inland Canadian provinces. To put it into perspective, my aunt used to live on one of the islands in BC, and it was worth calling home to Alberta to her mom when there was even a skiff of snow on her deck in the morning. To be fair, that skiff of snow would be melted by the mid morning sun, and you wouldn't have known it had snowed at all, apart from photo evidence. The climate of BC is similar to that of southern Japan, I would guess....I've never been to Japan, so don't quote me on that cuz I'm likely wrong XD hahaha
