A new subscriber here. I, too, am married to a 3rd generation Italian-American. His grandparents came directly from Italy. His parents are both Italians, 2nd generation. Unfortunately, my husband does not speak Italian. His mother whom he was very close to had passed away about 3 yrs ago. I would say that he was a mama's boy in a good way.
