I would argue that Deeps wasn't "naive". Natalie was naive, deeps had someone continuously telling her "omg you're so hot, im so lucky" etc, if you're being told one thing but shown another that early on it's easy to be blindsided. I don't know, sure Deeps eventually got rid of Shake, but it took to a certain point. Look, I need to ask women in this comment section something as a man: Do you guys consider it normal for a dude who,in this scenario, you have not seen their physical appearance yet; but only got to know them through their personality by talking to him from a pod on the other side of a studio, to just suddenly start squeezing your butt cheeks and kissing you passionately while constantly commenting how big your ass is? I mean, would you guys consider that to be on realm of normality when it comes to introductory romantic interactions, or is that something you would see a couple that's been together for a long time to do? I need to know ladies because when I was young my mother taught me that men that do this have no respect for the woman in question, and that I should never do that if I want a woman to respect me as well.

I'm certain Shake is comparing Deepti to his "aunt" because he's finding a way of saying he doesn't want to be with an indian woman. He's comparing her to someone who's off limits for dating. There are quite a bit of indian people whom are against dating within their culture, because of their internalized colorist/xenophobic mindset caused by colonization. one thing this show illustrates well is how bad people WANT to be in love with someone(anyone)... and then you learn more about why they want to be in love with someone. You hope that they all just haven't met the right person, but so often it's that they cant form healthy human connections and instead have a sort of checklist for what they have decided they need in a partner. A bit of both is obv fine, but when someone is so far in the checklist zone it's just like.... oh it's a them problem.

I think one thing that is kinda obvious is that there are probably matchmakers behind the scenes who pick contestants that are likely to make a good connection. I doubt the contestants are arbitrary or chosen just for their own profile, but done in consideration with other matches. I also wouldn't be surprised if they also intend for some people to match with a couple people and create drama. It's really interesting see how many people will desperately cling to their second choice for that chance at love and how many people are OK knowing they are the second choice.

Marriage, done correctly, is not about lust or just physical attraction, it's about choosing to love, care for and serve your significant other everyday for the rest of your lives. Appearances change, beauty fades so what then would keep you in the marriage if your anchor is this "animalistic" attraction? They don't need make up and they don't need to dress up because I think they're beautiful just by existing." As a girl who likes to be comfortable and enjoys reading, hiking, playing video games - it means a lot for you to say that. I don't know why it's so hard for some people to recognize a woman as a fellow human being with interests and a mind of her own, but it does really hurt to read some of the stuff they say e.g. on reddit. It's either "red pillers" saying that women are just hurting themselves by doing anything beside child-bearing, and on the other hand - "nice guys" that will simp and salivate over you if you look even remotely attractive, and then call you a b*tch and a wh*re when you are not falling for their manipulations. Thank you for treating woman as humans. I wish you the most amazing girl as a life partner.

I feel like he was hurt at the alter. Not because he loved her or wanted her back. But simple because she got to call it off first. You can really tell it damaged his pride that she said no first. So now he has to play up this “I didn’t love her anyway” to really imply he didn’t like her from the start. It’s sad and honestly disgusting. If he didn’t want to marry her so bad he should have called it off the minute his feelings changed.

Love is Blind is one of my favorite trash tv shows tbh lmao. When I was a kid I used to not understand the appeal of reality shows like this. But as an adult, it's nice to just chill out, see some nice couples, and laugh at the morons.

Women do this a lot. A man can be butt ugly and a woman can be fine with that as long as he is good to them. When it’s the opposite it doesn’t work. Women do not want to be thought of as ugly but their personality made them beautiful over years.

What can we really expect from a man who nicknames himself _Shake?_ I do not care if it's a 'shake' on Abhishek. Why not something respectable like Abhi? No. He changed the spelling and added a whole ass extra letter to make it as douchey as possible to align with his... _personality._ It's like he became a veterinarian and was like, "I'm done. No need to acquire any more good characteristics or pleasant attributes. I'm _good."_ There will never be a thoughtful, well-mannered, non-misogynistic person who unironically nicknames themselves _Shake._ It is a psychological impossibility and you cannot convince me otherwise. I rest my case. Also, his nickname should be _Bhish,_ for obvious reasons.

The "InsTiCTuAL and AnImAlIsTiC" feeling Shake is looking for is Lust and Infatuation 😐. And that ish fades so fast, he has that emotional connection with Deepti but Shake is so closeminded and shallow. He doesn't realize that, that emotional connection is what keeps marriages connected for 40 years+. Shake is not wrong, you should be physically attracted to your partner but he never gave it anytime. He's so accustomed to lust and infatuation, that actually having to slow down and let your attraction grow is not appealing to him.

Regardless of whether YOU are superficial, which it sounds like you are, there are many people in the world who do not place that much emphasis on looks. Looks fade. If being physically attracted to your partner for your entire life is what you expect, you’re going to be disappointed. Your viewpoint isnt much different than Shake’s honestly.
