When Adam takes acting seriously, he's really good. Like, his real talents are severely underused, like his singing skills (i.e. the wedding singer) and yes, acting skills. I know he's supposed to be the funny comedian, but as uncut gems and click has shown us, he can really give his best performances when needed.

Yeah, this is why i love 2000s comedies. They had the silly gags and nice humor, but also had morality lessons and good messages. This movie surprised me a lot and got me thinking about the way we treat some of our close people when we dont want to deal with them. We skip them, avoid them, and then one day they are gone and you wish you did not skip so many moments...but now it's too late. The scene with his dad walking out of his office was really powerful... the "it was just a dream" trope is usually an incredibly lazy bit of scriptwriting but in this story it's used as a way of allowing the main character to actually learn his lesson and learn from it. It's not a "haha no worries it was all just a prank," which is why the trope is so often disappointing. It makes sense given the supernatural nature of the content too.

This film really brings me back.. I remember this being one of the first movies I watched with my dad at the cinema as a little kid. He'd always lean in and translate what the characters were saying, cause I didn't really speak English at the time. I remember him being sad at the end of it, which was probably the only time I can ever recall of him being sad or at the brink of tears. The next time I'd see this film was when the pandemic first started. The ending parts, where the guy got estranged from his dad, because he was on autopilot and only focused on work and the dad ended up passing, really hit me deep. And it was even harder to see him out in the rain, dying as he told his kids how much he loved them. I just cried my eyes out and later on realized what it was, that my dad felt after we left that cinema all these years ago.

I watched this movie with my grandma after my grandpa passed away late 2021 and I've never cried in a movie before and I've seen the movie 2 times before but the ending where they are all out in the rain and he dies. It's one of the most sad endings ever and legit I cried. Really shows how the movie isn't meant to make you feel good but to make you think

Wow this is actually a good movie. If you just fast forward everything you miss out on everything in life. Sure, you can skip the bad parts but you also miss the good. It’s a package deal that comes with living. Besides, you can only have good moments if you have bad ones first.

i would still keep the remote. the key is to never use it for skipping moment but to pause or make other moments more enjoyable and long. like if you ever find you son being bullied you can pause and pants all the bullies and bam suddenly you have made a perfect moment that can cause no harm

I know it's not perfect and people hate the ending, but I actually really like this film and its message. Enjoy the now and the people around you, because the time you live is short and you should live in the moment. The ending made me cry as a kid actually. Had that been it this would have been a very depressing film.

I remember watching this movie when I was like 10 and the part where he is running after his family in the rain fucking terrified me. I saw it like a thriller movie for so long. Idk why, it has a really happy ending but still
