I am one of the ones that LOVES this stuff. Pretty cool to see how much more comfortable you have become with working on a bike, Chris. Everyone starts somewhere!

Love it Chris, I’d have preferred to see more of the fitting action but I understand only possible when Al’s not imbibing at Glasto! Loving this project, can’t wait to see it back on the track.

As a 2023 R1 owner; I love this series. Seeing what some people love and want to change and following the road to race route myself

I agree, the more you do, the more comfy you get. I remember back in the day when I was scared shitless just to put a shim on rear shock to get some more height. Got to the point that I was able to tear new-to-me trackday project pretty damn far. Saves a lot of money and is very relaxing.

Bit of advice for the oil change....open the 'other' cap on the oil pan, which gives the airlflow to stop that 'bubbling' and oil spraying everywhere.

My dude, I love working on bikes. Next time you do an oil change, open the other plug on the drain pan so that you don't have the bubbling shooting oil everywhere. Also - pro tip push upward while unscrewing on the oil drain nut in order to keep oil from spewing all over your hand. Wait until the last thread and carefully pull it away quickly.

A nice finishing touch for a track bike is the pillion cowling, to replace that goofy passenger seat. I’m sure you already know, Baron. Since you’re a cool kid… Bike’s coming along well nice. I did many of these same upgrades to my 2022 SC-77. They ain’t cheap, but they’re right. Carry on, mate. ✌🏼

You won't need to go full race ECU. You can get the Woolich race tools flash on the stock ECU. 1:1 throttle map is a must as well as a tune since you removed the CAT. 👌

I get the previous videos showing step-by-step modifications and how each one effects the performance on track. With this one that idea is blown out of the water by adding loads of mods without testing each one in turn. It's like skipping to the end of the project without looking at the impact of some of the most important mods, i.e. brakes and forks, etc.

The build is coming out. Definitely change that battery and put a antigravity ATZ-7 it weighs in at 1.32lb and keep in mind that you are removing this weight from underneath your seat, which is at a high point on your bike. And some Vesrah SYJL XX brake pads

So your running a stock size chain Renthal R4 "525" . 4:06. No 520 moto gp chain :D Episode 2. 27 min into video you fitting a 3 tooth larger rear sprocket 44 -teeth (41stock) but keep stock front sprocket. So that means a bit longer gears in corners and final drive. Are you happy with gearing or you reduce front for better acceleration ?

Looks really smart but you could do with just a dab of blue or green Loctite on the rearsets and other bits. My mates sprocket studs undid themselves on his MT10 and caught the swing arm. There was no Loctite on the studs which simply screw in unlike Suzuki which have a retainer. The studs now have red Loctite on them. Yamaha were not interested. Keep an eye on them Chris...

I would like to see you fit the ima adjustable triple clamps and give us some feedback on how it transforms the bikes steering, the offset can be adjusted in 1mm increments from 25mm to 31mm. It is a product that i am considering since the r1 seems to have some heavy steering and understeer for me.

Chris: brembo MC disappeared at the end of the video? back to OEM: was it because the corsa corta lever was too short with OEM right switch? I'll pick up the same bike tomorrow and it has to go to valencia on monday.. wondered whether I should bother trying to install the RCS from my previous bike or if I shouldnt bother as i'll have very little time ? clearance issues with the brembo? OEM clipons on mine..

So I noticed a bike in the background. I mean the one on an ABBA stand with the green SAMCO hoses. Would be great to see some spannering action with the Kawasaki after you guys are done with the R1. Maybe as punishment Monsieur Fagan could put in some wrench time as well. To be fair he did skip the R1 build for Glastonbury. Or maybe just make him wear a Team Kwak t-shirt for 1 episode. Leave it up to you guys. Love you. 😁

You don't like loctite? I'm curious what your reason is. I can't imagine not using it for certain things. Do you still use it when you want the security of bolts not coming off even though you don't like it?

This is cool, but one thing that was intriguing me is, at what point does it become cheaper to simply buy a ready made package from the likes of GYTR rather than upgrade a standard bike piece by piece like this?

Damn I LOVE the sound of the crossplane motor!! I’m really surprised considering the insane amount of money you’ve already thrown at this that you didn’t go with a high end set of Brembo calipers as well. Even M50’s or Stylemas would have been a nice upgrade.
