The problem with humans, especially those who take pride in their intellect, is they are always in a mode of defending their own conviction, but by doing that, they build a wall around themselves which prevents them from perceiving anything beyond. I actually was the same way, until I discovered Eckhart Tolle, then other spiritual teachers like him.
@jeetray112 жыл бұрын
I heard the name Eckhart Tolle (power of now) ages ago. I am not into spirituality so did not read the book even though I bought it thinking I will read some day. Do you know if Mr. Tolle believes in supernatural and after life? I am 99% sure he does. I don't care what any single person's conviction is but if you take science as an entity - do you think science also has a conviction and have a wall around it - so it cannot see anything beyond? I don't follow Eckhart Tolle but clearly Sadhguru uses hyperbole and obscurantism. His personal wall perhaps is much thinner than the ones he preaches to - he deliberately wants others wall to grow thicker and thicker. Thanks.

I think one of the reasons for this missunderstanding of the Man towards sadhguru, is that he thinks of him as a religious leader, which he is clearly not. He is not in the business of telling people what to do - that would be religious - but telling people, where to look, to see for themselves, so that would be a spiritual journey individual to each and every person listening to him. Also calling Sadhguru angry is a great missinterpretation of what is happening here, as Sadhguru only insists, when clearing up the axioms, under which both discuss, so they could come to a common understanding.

Religion is the biggest man-made fraud in this world. Preachers and believers claim Hinduism is special. But it isn't special at all... Its one of the thousands religions or more that have existed since dawn of humanity, all of which claim divine revelation, all of which claim perfection, all of which proclaim infinite knowledge, uniqueness, beauty etc.. So Hinduism is a religion like any other. There's no difference, it proclaims just as Qur'an did, Bible etc did.(biggest similarity being a universe creator, which is Brahma in your book, but different in others). So Hinduism is one of those thousands religions which makes the same claim but mutually inconsistent ones so that they can all be correct. So,. Probability of it being correct is just 0.1% because its one of the thousands religions. But since all of them make the same claim without evidence means they are all incorrect. Another fact is that hundreds and thousands of innocent worshippers including the imams and pandits are dying painful death in bomb blasts, terror attacks, air strikes etc. even while praying inside god's own mosques/temples. That itself proves that god doesn't exist.

So there's another GOD above that GOD that has always existed without any restrictions i.e GOD is shapeless and can take any shape that GOD wants. The problematic thing about gurus and famous people in debates in general, is that they tend to becoming famous and having followers backing them up. just see that video to understand this: guru says something sassy - the auditory applauds. the interviewer says something witty - akward silence. its not because who is ight and who is wrond, is because personal preferences, people that follow him want him to be right. It is hewarding positive afirmation for the guru no matter what, it has a psychologic effect over whoever watches it. in the end of the day these debates should only happen indoors, uncut, with a camera.

Shashi Kumar point of view is correct w.r.t religion and it's vicious ways. But he fails to understand that all religions are not based on conquest and conversion . Sadhguru clearly explains the difference between faith and spirituality. The urge for seeking and humility are the pillars of religion that Sadhguru profess. He just reminds you that what we know is a bit don't get yourself confined to that.

I think what the guy who was debating Sadhguru was trying to say, is that science is a process of seeking rather than believing, it is a process of questioning without ever saying "We know for sure", to go outside of those bounds is to depart from the scientific method. On the other hand, religion and spirituality make claims which put themselves forward as something to be believed for certain, which is outside of the bounds of just seeking, it is within the bounds of believing, and believing or holding onto belief against all odds is to restrain the process of seeking.

Sadhguru's situation reminds me of what Mike Tyson once said. He said he always has to deal with people who think they have to fight him because defeating him would give them great credit. If you win, you become greater than Mike Tyson himself - this is what they think. So they are simply looking for a way to benefit from the status of whoever they are attacking. Apparently there are also many supposedly smart people who attack a man like Sadhguru just to profit from his status. There is no other way I can explain the tone of this debate. If you have a different opinion on the matter, then you can also do it respectfully and choose soft tones. But this was no argument in good faith.

You know, you made this video to make it look like the man that we don't know the name of is loosing an argument, but in my oppinion, both are talking about two very different topics. He is very much right, that religion is used by many humans to fortify "absolute truth". And this was, is and will be (mis-)used as a source of power. It is also true, that there are things that exists that cannot be percieved. Science, on the other hand is always open to the possibility of being wrong. This is a discussion over truth and knowledge theory, mixed in with a discussion about using and abusing power and being unable to accept to be wrong. I am not saying that the guru is wrong or would not accept being wrong, as I don't know enough about him to make an oppinion. This discussion can, by definition, not be resolved based on content and instead is resolved by rethoric and stage dominance. The core or the question is left open at the end of the clip. You need to ask yourself what the intention of the man was. I think he is afraid that one idea, one group of humans, one belief, accumulates a lot of power and tries to force their ideas on others. Accumulating media presence is no problem, unless it is abused. And I think he has a point there. This is a very delicate topic. Should a Guru use all the new media and media strategy and marketing to spread his ideas? There are a lot of arguments for both sides. And it can quickly become dangerous it the guru starts abusing his power. On the other hand, it is worth spreading ideas that help people overcome their suffering. What is right? What is wrong? Tell me. But please don't look down on the brave man that got up onto a stage to voice his concernes, despide facing a oppinionated crowd and a really scary "opponent" to discuss with.

The man was saying the right thing but he misunderstood Sadhguru. Because what he was saying is the same thing Sadhguru said in his book. And he did that in a not so gentleman way.

Actually, he is kind of an idealist : "science is about questioning our certitudes" (or something like that). Most people today practice science like a religion (I do not mean spirituality) : they preach it everywhere though they have never seen nor experienced it ; they trust people that might be wrong (and regularly prove them wrong between themselves) ; they limit other people's experience with beliefs that they consider truth, though science is supposed to be constantly questioning, because they want to be right and cannot tolerate to be contradicted. Funny thing, many Richis from the past discovered many things thousands years ago before the west put the finger on it (see Vaisesika), because, I agree there are a lot of conman out there, in science and religion, but a true spiritual man is a philosopher, a scientist and seek the universal truth from his own experience. Science is also about language and code ; vedas has its system of coding and representation because it was the best way to transfer and understand the knowledge at the time, with a competent master ; but let's not forget that when Newton was technically limited by the scientific language of his time, he just "created" his own system, that we understand because it has been explained to us.

Hitler's Holocaust was over Aryan superiority. Stalin's genocide was for communism, just like Pol Pot, a Buddhist who committed genocide in Combodia. What else could be expected from an ignorant bigot, R K, believing glorifying murderers like Sri Ram who in rage and revenge killed Ravana and khumbhakaran for Sita haran helped by an arsonist Hanuman, a monkey that is claimed to fly without wings across Bharat to light a fire with its flaming tail to Lanka to burn the inhabitants to ashes. Was it ahinsha or genocide? Facts lead to the truth, and the truth shall set you, RK, free, not Krishna. He is busy stealing makhan from the neighbors while hiding their clothes to lust at the women bathing at the Yamuna ghats. He assisted the Pandavas in mass-murdering 100 Kauravas for the inheritance. @milanperisic2885 Жыл бұрын
@@RifetOkic I can't summarize previously stated further. I can only elaborate, but it has to be to a level that transcends this way of communicating. The biography is titled with the surname: Tolstoy. It is full of outwardly visible facts about Tolstoy's life. Complete these facts - taken in summary - with data that Tolstoy is a horoscope virgin (which is also Sadguru) - and here is the "revelation".Of course, it remains as a problem - knowing the conditioning carried by - virgins.

Don't compareTolstoy with this fraud.
@milanperisic2885 Жыл бұрын
Manuel, From your comment, which is not on the line of administrative speech, I can only indirectly conclude (and indirectly - it means that mistakes are very possible). From your sentence, it is likely that you consider Sadhguru a fraudster, and maybe, less likely but maybe also, that you also consider Tostoy a fraudster (who is so different from Sadhguru that you don't want a comparison due to different levels of success in deception). My comment does not indicate that either of the two is a fraud. My comment only indicates the path for understanding Sadhguru. In addition to the mentioned text about Tolstoy's life, I could also cite two more valuable texts - but those two texts are written in my native language, and it is unlikely that you can find them in any of the languages you use. The overall theme delves into the characteristics of human individuals determined by their date of birth. For the sake of understanding, I can make the same comment in relation to Hegel, a more than well-known person - who "turned black" white philosophy a long time ago, completely without evil intentions. I know I didn't make it easy for you, but - we are actually looking for the efforts ourselves. Greeting!@@manuelscaria

I just can't help but cringe seeing people with "the ego of not having an ego", he believes to be so much smarter that there is no point in letting the man finish his point, and then he ones again completely obscures the fact that he never gave an asnwer to the actual question at hand.
