When it's all said and done, the only thing we really have in this life is each other. Good job, young man.

Having a seizure is very scary, but more so afterward to the person having it. I know I had a short warning before an episode, but couldn’t tell what type was about to happen. It took me a while to learn what that warning feeling meant when I was only having partial seizures. Here in Australia Jett’s law bans people from driving for up to a year after their last seizure. Even though my last seizure was over 11 years ago, I still rarely drive if I feel not quite right, have a headache, or just generally unwell just in case. If you feel a little spacey or dizzy pull over immediately for a little while in case. You might just save a life - yours, your passenger’s or a stranger’s sharing the road. Xo

@looloo_007 Similarly, I’ve been seizure free for years, but it’s not a risk I’m willing to take. I refuse to put another’s life, pets, or property in danger. I’m perfectly content using public transportation.

@@stanford-nf4jk I live in a country town that has hardly any public transport. The different bus routes don’t even meet up decently so you can go where you need. A lot of my specialist appointments are over an hours drive away and there isn’t any public transport to them either unfortunately. Driving is all I have. Thankfully my youngest son can drive me now, although it does mean he misses a day of work.

@looloo_007 I’m glad you have your son to help out. In the early 2000s I lived in a rural town with hardly any public transport and no sidewalks. I used to walk several miles one way and several in return carrying groceries on the shoulder. There weren’t even sidewalks. Sometimes people felt sorry for me and offered a ride. I accepted every time. There’s no way I’d take a ride from a stranger today! Anyways, thanks for the reply to my comment and have a great weekend!

Why did not interview the Good Samaritan? I would have loved to hear from him... his "thought process" and what made him decide to help her etc.
