How I see it is that, the biggest mistake someone can make is thinking that having a wife and child will make your life happier. You should NEVER have a wife and kid because they are a necessity towards your happiness, no. That co dependency. You should only have a wife and child to ENRICHEN your life, make it better. Not be the sole purpose of having a family.

Thanks for this video, man. I'm a 50 y/o male, happily married with a lady that alignes with my values. I have a lot of job satisfaction as well (I'm a teacher in an international school. I have a problematic relationship with alcohol and my friend, who was an alcoholic, will be cremated today. I've decided to quit alcohol for good and improve drastically on living my life more purposeful. I think you should add two things to the list. 1. Sobriety is a must 2. Emotionally heal yourself before moving on this path: inner child work. My dad was emotionally absent and I projected him onto my "friends". I noticed that, who I call friends, are just drinking buddies. They are alcoholics. That realization opened my eyes. I have good male friends that barely drink. I can deeply connect with them. I'm going to find a support group of men, like you proposed. Thanks for being so inspiring. Peace out.

That point about wonder and awe is probably the most important. At 52 years old, I’ve witnessed so many of my male friends and colleagues become professional problem solvers. I’m guilty of that too, I became an emotionless zombie for several years as I paid off my mortgage. Fortunately a total breakdown got me back into making art and enjoying being a step dad. I just want to say that as a woman, I really appreciate your channel. It’s disheartening to see how much of the manosphere is made up of bitter men, pick-up artists, raging skeptics and well-dressed cynics. It’s even sadder that these men have become the face of it. I truly believe it is imperative for both men and women to have mentors guiding them towards crucial self-development, rather than encouraging them to make heaps of money and blame the opposite gender for their shortcomings. I’ve noticed channels like those become the most popular because they are polarizing and appeal to people’s most base emotions. But channels like yours are a true gem. Keep up the good work!

Today marriage, as redefined by the female democratic majority and family court system, makes the man a slave to a tyrant wife, who can divorce him at will, stealing his children, his wealth, and his human dignity. All womens natural unregulated desire is to have sex with high status bad bad boys & get innocent men to pay for the responsibility consequences(abortions, kids ect.). That's why women, no matter how meritocratic, should never vote. Women want equal rights authority to make all the decisions in their own life when the bad boy sexual opportunity is there. One area of impulse control that I have found to be important and productive is to control what you say out loud. This would apply to texts on social media even knowing there is little immediate or personal risk from essentially anonymous comments. In the work world or in real life though you will benefit by not always saying the first thing that enters your head. Impulses come with a physical sensation of tension that you can learn to recognize and use as a signal to stop, slow down, and reconsider your reaction to whatever is happening right now.

At time point 12:34 is mention of careers. A lot of men in this particular case opting for the lower options (so to speak) comes from childhood trauma and a symptom of that. The great channel Crappy Childhood Fairy makes many points that resonates with the presenter here. Childhood traumas can really impact the male career and esteem trajectory.

Regarding #5 and bad jobs: For many men, the statement their job makes about their life is "I care more about supporting my family than pursuing 'success'". For a man to go to work and bring home a paycheck, then spend time with his family can make a 'bad job' enough.

I’m 57. I’ve followed much of what is discussed in this video, but I would say, it was mostly by accident and not as deliberate as I should have. That said, this is an excellent summation and framework for success. I have been trying to show my boys this (leadership by example). They are kinda stumbling through this also, eventually coming to the same realizations. As far as having the right men in one’s life, I would say this is absolutely a necessity. My dad guided and sometimes pushed me in the right direction. In the military, there were many who set a great example. I still work with phenomenal people, but I will say that the number of close male relationships has dwindled as I am more selective with those I spend my time with. But I still have many buddies, guys who I still consider brothers, who I can go without seeing for 30 years, and when we get together it is as if not a day had gone by, except we all look old now.

I found your channel tossing and turning last night. I'm a 31 year old autistic NEET with ADHD & disabling subclinical issues. Every day is a hellish experience without some kind of regulating mechanism. Wim Hof and breath holds get me out of bed. Daily running and gym consistency keep my physical body in the top .01% of men my age. However, the despair still persists. And much of it is environmental. Inability to "able" myself in my world of disabling mental conditions. People that aren't autistic will generally have good intentions and do their best to encourage me, but in the end, it's a subtle form of gaslighting. My neurotype doesn't fit the hussle culture no matter what I do without an understanding of my limitations. But there really is some solid advice in here for all men, and this is exactly what I needed this morning. Thank you!

Just because you can't hustle doesn't mean you can't work and neither does having limits. Ten years ago, I saw the shift to put women in control was in full swing. Five years ago I was watching it play out, with no direction. Feminism brought about man-bashing and men losing thier direction. People with mental health issues living off of others, no accountability. Two years ago, as we repaired after covid, everything is a disaster. Women who could be counted on for service or help are now all working from home, letting their kids sit in front of screens all day. No one has any ambition, life has been stripped from your young men. And now I see more videos like this. There's a growing shift back to what works. At a recent 30-year high school reunion everyone was standing up stating their names and gushing over their occupations. Several men stood up postering. I'm a successful lawyer, banker, doctor, etc...and have traveled the world twice over. Then one bashful, lanky guy stands up and says, "Most of you won't remember me. I never played sports, didn't belong to any clubs, and wasn't very popular mostly because of working through my school days to help my family out. I own and operate my own mobile pressure-washing business now and have a wife with 3 kids. There was audible laughter. He turned a shade of bright red and quietly sat back down. Then he slowly stood back to his feet and said, "I don't know if any of you noticed but there's only one brand new limited edition Corvette parked out in the parking lot. It belongs to me and It's paid in full...so is my house I owe no one anything." For a moment or two, you couldn't hear a church mouse licking lard...then there was a roar from hands clapping from all around him excluding those who had mocked him in the first place. Be careful of who you laugh at. I had a friend in banking tell me that most of the people in the biggest houses in gated communities with fancy cars and country club memberships were so upside down they would never be able to right the ship. Then there were tradesmen of the area that were the silent millionaires twice over. The plumbers, welders, car detailers, bricklayers, and many other men who use their hands to make a living are all getting in the last laugh. Society has it all upside down and looks can always be deceiving. Who is stable and happy and who is really stable and happy? It's all one, big, fat shiny illusion.

I think people really underestimate what it means to be financially responsible. I seen and heard people making well over 6 figures but living paycheck to paycheck or financially broke. I seen people making 50 to 60k a year and have savings, investments and a home. What I am trying to say, what really matters is how much you get to keep at the end of the financial year.

I resonate with most of what you shared here. Although something that makes me scratch my head is how man supposed to make time for all this ? I mean men have jobs or run businesses, some have families to take care of, keeping up with bills and appointments, some men are job hunting which takes time, personal development, going to gym, taking courses and by the end of the day say 9pm you're knackered and you supposed to have time to make friends, and when you have friends you supposed to make time for girlfriend. I mean we all have 24 hours and each one of us needs at least 7 hours of sleep, right ? Yes it is true that men used to have more close friends but also it is because life wasn't as demanding as it is today. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also when you spoke about disconnect from sense of wonder and awe. I think it's pretty difficult to enjoy little things in life when you see struggling single mom making ends meet or a man job hunting and getting rejected even for jobs he's overqualified for. You get to enjoy stars on the sky or different smells of flowers when you're not drowning in problems.

As for your first statement: I don't think you're actually meant to do all this in one day, just maintain things one day at a time. Divide the tasks you need to complete into daily chunks and it's a lot easier to think about AND get done at the same time. Life has definitely changed the name of the game. You don't necessarily need close friends to survive in a survival sense, but socially speaking, it is very helpful. People have given me job offers just because they liked me and my friendliness while working at my current job, and while I sometimes turn them down on it, I still like to build the connection so the door is always open. The last part is a little harder to deal with depending on your station in life and honestly, I don't really have what I would consider a sufficient answer to how to deal with a disconnect in fun factor in life.

Start with a prayer and then hit the gym. It will teach you how to break the egg shell cause of minute conversations, then it will transcend to discipline and consistency. If you are able to have physical pain the brain reciprocates with mental strength. Gain new beneficial habits even if they suck, it’s just for a short time . Carve it into you and watch your circle. Grind it out alone till you find good friends. Lastly end with a prayer and bible indicators about anything that is challenging during your journey . Chase it and have a prosperous new year .

"Bird shot" would be the more accurate analogy in this case. Now that I'm getting older, and on shaky ground with my marriage I'm thinking about money a lot. It now scares me to think what will happen.

Get brave and start educating yourself about money. Avoid the folks who tell you they can help you get rich quick or show you how to game the system. Managing (or preferably avoiding) debt and budgeting for emergencies and the future are the important things to learn. Learn about bad debt vs "good debt" and understand that good debt can still get you into big trouble and take care no matter how much cash the bank wants to stuff into your pockets in order to buy your future earnings.

This video is very informative and very interesting. I believe the lack of impulse control and the inability to delay self gratification cause many men to go to prison or die young. I agree that most men suffer from the lack of male friendships and male mentors. In a future video, will you explain why girls and boys are raised in the same household but the girls become independent enough to move to their own home while the boys are stuck living at their parents home until age 40?

I came on here to listen in out of curiosity and I can say this advice applies to all people since these are basic things required to have a fulfilling quality life and partnership. My own experience, have not encountered many people like this. Me, alone hoping one day I will find more people like this. For now, feeling like a unicorn in a sea of sharks and dodo birds lol.
