RW:Tv series genie and movie genie you could easily tell them apart Movie Genie has a more Blue-ish skin tone (voiced by Robin Williams ) and tv series Genie(Homer) Has a light sky blue -ish skin tone (even be was in return of Jafar it still wasn't Robin Williams) but other than that I still like the guy ,and it just makes me wonder if anyone can have Homer Simpson sing the Song from return of Jafar "There is nothing in the world ,but like a friend " like a music video.😁

I seriously respect Castellaneta for voicing Genie in so many different IP’s. For an actor to inhabit a role, that is so quintessentially connected to an originating actor is intimidating and thankless. But damn if this man does not give his all. Robin Williams is THE Genie in my mind, but Castelleneta is a wonderful Genie in his own right. From Cartoons to Kingdom Hearts this man was here to bring his magic.

I’d be interested in knowing where you head this! I know this comment was posted a while ago, but do you happen to remember the source? Robin Williams was replaced for Aladdin 2 because of a dispute with Disney - that’s why I’d be shocked if he was involved in the casting. Disney & Robin made amends and he came back for Aladdin 3!

Not only was in EJ3D, but it was also in the cartoon, as well as Clay Fighter 63 1/3. Personally I think he's the definitive voice for Jim since it fits the crazy and unpredictable nature of the universe of Earthworm Jim.

My college theatre professor used to work on a stage show with him in Chicago. During rehearsals for our production of Godspell one of my cast mates was talking about The Simpson’s and he (our director) mentioned that he knew him. Of course we thought that was really cool, so he took out his phone and called him up! He had him do the Homer voice over the phone. It was pretty neat!

From someone who even doesn’t watch The Simpsons, Dan Castellaneta is still an incredibly talented actor! His vocal range is impeccable! I never would’ve guessed Homer, Grampa, Barney, Krusty, and Groundskeeper Willie were voiced by the same person! He also did a great job taking over for Robin Williams as the Genie, creating an iconic performance in his own right, instead of just copying the legendary, late originator! 🤩🤩🤩
