Kelly, Thanks for talking about what’s working!!I’m in Monday @10:00 group and a little bashful. I have a fantastic praise. ❤ My adult son has followed me into carnivore again (I’m 15 months in and am down #70) and this has changed his life again. 🎉 His anxiety and depression are lifting: he’s sleeping at night, less social isolating, applying for jobs again and noticing he sees life as worth living again. (He is a strong believer but has been miserable for a long time.) I’m so happy for him.🥰 My Mama’s heart is hopeful. I know that my current stall will eventually break because of what I’m learning in your group. I can be patient. I’ve got time for metabolic healing. You are being used well, my friend . ❤

Ok totally off topic…but…since you mentioned your Bernies…I think Carnivore would be good for my slightly overweight Mastiff. A lot of the info about raw diets has people doing super complicated protocols and I’m thinking gee….if I can thrive on mostly beef with occasional cheese and seafood and chicken why can’t she? So…my question is what do you feed them? How have they been doing on Carnivore? Thanks if you have time to share! ❤

One loves bacon 🥓 but my other Saint Bernard won’t eat bacon 😂 I drizzle pork fat over their food every day but only bacon lover eats it. They both love bone broth. Hi Kelly! Great video as usual 😊 I just wanted to share a weight stall story with all y’all… I have been on keto and now ketovore (95% carnivore) and have lost 78 lbs so far in a little over a year. YAY!! But… until 2 weeks ago, for the past 3 months I had experienced a weight stall and couldn’t understand why. What I discovered was that I had started to drink a large Yeti Tumbler of Redmonds Re-Lyte Electrolyte Mix (flavored) and water during the 5 days a week while at work. When I stopped drinking the electrolyte mix, my weight stall melted away like magic!! I think it was making me hold water weight bc of all the salt, so I c just cut it out completely. I have always liberally salted my meat and eggs so I really didn’t need the electrolytes as I take magnesium citrate before bed so I think I’m good there. I hope this helps y’all!! And btw… EAT THE MEAT. SAVE THE HUMANS!!😊😊🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩🐮🐑🥓🐷🐠🍤🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

I was in a weight loss stall so I forced myself to track my food. I discovered that I was under eating. I was barely hitting 1200 calories a day. I was also super low in fat, which was triggering constipation because of my IBS. Once I started tracking I got my calories up over 2000 a day, my protein around 100g and my fat sometimes over 200g. I feel so much better and finally saw the scale drop again. So I'm not a fan of tracking, but it is sometimes needed.

that was great kelly. Thank you so much for your time and building each person up… It's so needed. I got several people that I am encouraging them in their walk with carnivore and it's difficult to find those little things that they're going through. And I hope one day they will join your class. But they're tiptoeing in and doing better than most people. I tell you everybody wants to lose it quick. We're in the mashed potato era. If it doesn't work fast and get a satisfied, we lose heart. I really fight that one because when I had my total knee replacement, that was eight months ago, and , there hasn't been a whole lot of weight loss for me but I've gone down from an 18 to 10… Now you know something has happened. And I shout for that and don't get so upset with myself when the scales don't go down and I've been very faithful. My husband is my encourager and helps me so much. There were times when I wanted to faint and what I'm doing but he would say don't look at those scales. They seem to get you upset every time. Terri, you are metamorphosing. The choices you're making or changing your life. He has seen me sick for 14 years and , he and my mother prayed every single day, every morning I could hear them praying for my healing. And I know God brought me this way for my life to change. I've got those watching me. Family members that think I'm crazy and then there's those that have seen that this is not a joke, this is not , some phase that Terri is going through. But you know what writing it down means everything. Although it takes a whole lot of time kelly. I don't know that Computer very well that's why I haven't been on my computer in class. But I get to listen to y'all and that's what's most important . And I shout in my room thanking God for each person that makes that step forward that they need. Thank you kelly for all that you're doing and you girls and guys get excited you're on a new adventure and it takes time, your body is healing. It's amazing what's happening on the inside of me that is reflecting on the outside of me . I looked like an old lady, I thought I was gonna die seriously. I lost hope. Just start walking on that trail of a new adventure in your carnivore life and do the stuff. And build each other up it's so needed.

I can and will binge on anything even fruit, and veggies. I recently came across Dr. Cywes (not sure I spelled that correctly) and have been watching all his videos, and between him and you, I finally got it through my thick skull that I HAVE to abstain, I will NEVER be able to have carbs and sugar “once in awhile” like other people can. I will never be able to eat junk “only on Christmas” …I also watched his video about various weight loss drugs coupled with keto/carnivore and knew I needed something to use as a tool to get me through this transition finally. I chose to start zepbound a week ago, I still have some of the food noise but it’s not hard to ignore it now, I’m so thankful for this! I’m planning to use this until I am fully fat adapted I’m assuming 3 months….? I cleared out everything from the kitchen and pantry and planned as far ahead as birthdays and christmases and told my family it’s gonna look a whole lot different because I can’t do it anymore, as far as what I make, there will not be the baking I used to do no matter the occasion or the trips to McDonald’s or other junk places…. I’m eating mostly beef butter bacon eggs, sometimes chicken and if I feel like it a bit of cheese and heavy cream, avocado, zucchini. I’ve lost 4.6lbs the last week.

I think her writing down the reasons why she wanted the "thing" acknowledged her feelings even though she knew down in her heart that those things in the break room would hurt her in the long run. It was still nice that she listened to herself and acknowledged what those thoughts were and got them out and then was able to look at them objectively. She felt HEARD. Thanks to your course, I also set a timer before giving in to the urges... but now, I won't actually set a timer, because that became a reminder of the food. I look at the clock, jot down the time, and go about my business. When I think about the food again, I look to see if it's been 15 minutes. After that time, I can eat. Most often, now, 30 minutes or more pass before I remember the food, and I'm much more likely to realize I don't want it after all.

This is helpful! I've been at the same weight since about February, and started tracking my movement and calories more. Finding that sweet spot with the TDEE, as well as the movement, has been making me more mindful of how much food I really need. I realize when I am tired I do tend to eat more, but I am also feeling a lot better. So it is more of being mindful of some of the habits and how much I really am actually moving.
@LauraB.3357 ай бұрын
I love that first example, because our actions come from our thoughts and beliefs and feelings, and instead of doing other things to distract her from those meaningless thoughts/feelings in the moment, which is often what is suggested, Amy chose to write down all the thoughts that were going on in the moment. As she was doing this, she was allowing herself to indulge in them and release them. Once the meaningless (and they’re always meaningless) thoughts are acknowledged, just allowed to be as they are, we often realize how meaningless they are and how we do not have to react to them. And, even if a person still ends up eating the junk, the hold of the thoughts and feelings becomes less and less powerful as this process continues. We think the temptation to react and eat is coming from the food, but it’s always coming from our own beliefs, thoughts, and feelings.

Thank you! I sent this to two friends, and it also inspired me to track my macros for the next week, my spring break. I’m a teacher too! I’m holding at a nice low, almost goal weight, but I want to know if five or 10 pounds lighter would be better. Thank you for all the different ideas. I’m going for it!

I have done carnivore for years . Tracked my steps, tracked my macros, listened to hundreds of podcasts on weight loss, went on the Lion diet . The only thing that caused any weight loss for me was fasting . Not intermittent fasting, prolonged fasting . I did OMAD for many months without results. How it stands now, if I want to lose ten lbs I need to fast ten days . I can do that in groups of three, 4,6, or just do 10. That works for me and its way easier than all the tricks and gimmicks.

That’s what I’m finding for myself now. Thanks for your comments 😊

I did that...( was used to omad and 3 day fasts/ keto etc). Did a 10 day fast before starting carnivore. lost 12lbs, then stalled out (for 1st while on carni.) After that it started coming off slowly, I'm 37lbs down, 6 1/2 months in. (would like to lose a stone or so more, and get back to bbbe). i'd added various things back, now maybe too much dairy, cream, red wine (!) and coffee atm, and other occasional " blips" with carbs/ sugar. I'd yo- yo-ed all my life since age 13 😶 now 54. lost the same weight over and over... once I was doing pilates, trained as a teacher and was slim and fit! but still suffered pain from my music/ night time job/ from hypermobility and got fatter again and stopped with the pilates ( saving money).

I have dry and crepey skin! (61 male) the lifelong severe eczema has mostly gone away. So I’m going to cut down on egg whites and dairy. Thanks for this ❤

Im a teacher and am now prepared to go back to school. No treats for my kids. Non food treats only. When we have food times for teachers, almost all carbs, I go straight for the coffee.

good suggestions. my weight has stalled for 4 months but I do not have lots of weight to lose so I am not worried. These past 6 months of carnivore for me has been to me healing and adjusting. I am working to remove coffee, dairy, and to eat my portion of protein and eat 60% fat. I think I am under-eating most days. I hate to count macros. I try to eat 1 lb of meat- beef and lamb in a day.

I have bought sardines 4 times. Every time I can't get past the smell to even try one. Like not even to touch my tongues. Can't get past the smell. My dogs love them so they have enjoyed my attempts to try them.

When I smell sweets like cinnamon buns and other baked goods, the feeling is strong. But I tell myself it's just a pretty smelling candle and visualize a candle burning. It's not food. So far this seems to work. If possible if the urge is strong I eat meat and get full so I no longer feel like eating said sweet. One thing to do is maybe have some meat sticks on hand so if coworkers are eating birthday cake, eat some meat and fill up. 😂

It helps me to think about how badly my stomach will react to the cake or whatever it is! Pain, bloating and sluggishness! 🎉 not worth it!

Exactly. When I’m at Costco and walking past the bakery section, it smells heavenly, and I just tell myself, “thank God for all the wonderful smells on earth that I can enjoy. I can smell anything as much as I want to!” And I enjoy the smell as I walk right past it to the meat department, lol. I know that actually eating it would only bring a fleeting pleasure and then a longer-lasting regret. So in that sense, merely smelling it is just as good as, or even better, than actually eating it.

Haha, I bought a cinnamon bun candle, and burn it all the time. My house smells wonderful, I don't need to eat them, the smell is making me happy.

I got a walking pad for at home last week! It has helped me a great deal just to get moving. It’s next to my bed in a small corner. Mine has a front rail with a spot to sit a book or phone, etc. I would highly recommend them.
