Yes, you're quite right. It's also gratifying to see that he doesn't resort to peppering his conversations with fillers like "yer know" and...er..."like", etc. Most curiously he has difficulty in reading and writing, most likely due to dyslexia. He possesses a raw intelligence but is otherwise semi-educated due to his less than stellar socio-economic situation early in life.

@@rahulmathew6396I think he is honest tho by nature. I recognize this because, I am, and it's a good feeling, to be honest. People can tell. There is nothing to hide and it's refreshing to be sure. That's why he says the same things in different interviews, he doesn't have to lie about his life. He was there and you get it from him as if you were there. Too.

Such a unique and humble man. You can tell once he realised the pressure of working to others expectations wasn't worth it... He decided to go on a journey of self discovery. Marco is not just a master chef but a master artist in general, "everything you do is an extension of yourself" thats not just cooking thats all art forms, i can use that in playing guitar in the rendition of a song, this guy has so much depth and wisdom it would take a life time unraveling it

The reason he didn't "[sell] himself out like Gordon Ramsay" wasn't due to moral principles, but simply because he was less successful than Gordon Ramsay in... selling himself out. Look at his filmography: he tried over and over to become a major celebrity chef; he just didn't succeed.

He moves like Anthony Hopkins, very refreshing. He is from Leeds. I think Whales is near there Richard Burton talks like him too. He is or was from Whales. Very strong personailty.

I love the question "Not being morbid, Marco. But what would be your last meal, on your deathbed?" His answer " something simple......" I was expecting a pot noodle or a boiled egg. NO! Not our Marco! " something simple like a roast chicken" Oh yeah, have you looked at the audience Marco? They are barely able to rustle up a tuna sandwich bought from the local corner shop! But I do agree, an absolute legend. loved listening and found it the right amount of time to knead my dough and let it rest while preheating my oven for my bread.

I think he was disappointed by some of the tone deaf questions. I suppose they were fair, but they were preceded by Marco's lesson on why pretentious food isn't important. He doesn't give a shit about anything except following his TRUE passion. Question why we do things, not just the results we want. These folks mostly missed that.
