I just discovered Marcus' music a month or two ago. I can't get enough. He is the REAL DEAL, no doubt.

I saw Marcus in a bar in 2017 that held about 200 people not knowing really much about him. Within the first 5 minutes of the show, I realized I was witnessing artistry that was beyond anything I had ever seen before. Here was this pimply-faced 20 year old kid in a pair of red vans sneakers with profound, jaw-dropping talent - his guitar playing had influences of SRV, Hendrix, Duane and Derek and his vocals were a blend of Gregg Allman and Janis Joplin. I could not believe what I was witnessing. It's been really cool to watch his ascension into music history - when I hear him play now, I don't think of any of those folks, I just think of Marcus. It's only a matter of time before he becomes the face of modern rock - just too much talent. Can't wait to see where he is 10 years from now.

I love Marcus. Have seen him with the MK Band a few times, the MK Trio , on Jam Cruise sitting in with everyone and saw him solo acoustic in Austin, where he made me shed tears with his song Goodbye Carolins. Ripped my heart out with his voice. Plant Your Corn Early is a high energy banger,I'd like to see you react to.

Now that you say that…🤔. He’s got great delivery though.

@@ChasingAnthems , ya he does. Very good musician. I enjoyed it except for it kept reminding me of the other song all the way through it. Unusual to see a guitarist playing this kind of guitar, well… outside of Ted The motor city madman 😝

There are thousands of songs with this chord progression. But there’s only one song with these lyrics, these melodic nuances and with this delivery.

It's very similar, but I wouldn't call it a rip-off. If that's the case then every other blues song would be a rip-off too; or about a zillion pop tunes that sound like other pop tunes. It also sounds a lot like the Beatles "Oh, Darling."
