Marine Dad Surprises Kids With Umpire Disguise for Baseball Homecoming

A Marine returned home from deployment and gave his children the ultimate surprise at his son's baseball game. U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Randy Brock had been stationed in Japan over the last six months and didn't tell his kids he was coming home. Heath Thomas, manager of his son's baseball team helped plan out the surprise. He told InsideEdition.com, "He left for deployment shortly after AJ, his son, joined the team. They had told the kids that he wasn't getting back until June." #InsideEdition

This man should be praised. He risked his life for his country, and he went through something that could make anyone else fall apart. This is why we should appreciate our vets more. My father was a marine, and I thank him and his brothers and sisters in the military for their service. He has inspired me in so many ways, and that's why I feel like I haven't thanked our military services enough for their hard work and persistence. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE VETERANS!!!!!!!

Sgt Brock was one of the featured servicemen on the PBS mini series "Carrier". Really good documentary, film crew embedded on the carrier for a full deployment, unfiltered life aboard a US warship.

my Dad went to Iraq for a year. to stop terrorist s. he told me it was terrible. every morning at 5 and evening at 22:00, they would shoot a mortar at the base. it was reinforced concrete and steel (the base) but shards of steel, glass, and spikes made it through into people's stuff, including my dad's stuff. he brought some back.
