My personal favorite relationship is the relationship between Mario and peach because they finally get the treatment they deserve when they barely get any screen time in the video games together and this movie really does them justice I really hope they become a couple in the future sequels if there ever will be sequels

A lot of people say the film has no plot. I would argue that the brotherly bond between Mario and Luigi IS the plot of the film. It's about the lengths Mario would go to protect Luigi. Even being dragged into a war that's not his own to do it.

My favorite relationship in the video games and the movie is truly Mario and Luigi I just absolutely adore how much they truly care about each other! They are always there for each other through thick and thin! When toad told Mario that Luigi was going to die and when he was with peach while she touched a fire flower I could tell that Mario was really worried and upset about Luigi! My favorite part of the movie was when Mario literally protected Luigi from that mean bully that scene warms my heart every time! Mario and Luigi are truly the best brothers ever period 😊❤️🥰✌️

Bowser is an amazing villain x) I love that he's all shy and awkard when it's about Peach, and his song is perfection. He's a classic villain of the Nintendoverse with that sense of "I can be good if I get what I want" while someone like Ganondorf, in most of his apparition, doesn't care at all about anyone else. they would make a good contrast with one another :) And for Mario and Luigi relationship, it's what I loved most about that movie. Seeing how Mario always care about him in that first Brooklyn scene when he makes a road for his brother touch me deeply. I remember crying watching that because my little brother is the most important thing in my life. And the nickname ! Luigi has a nickname ! I can't handle so much sweetness

The brotherly love between Mario and Luigi the bros themselves was my favorite out of all of them like their flashback as babies and reunion were so heartwarming to me, I just wished they got more screentime together as bros even though Luigi send most of his not really doing anything while inside a cage. really love: mario/luigi(favorite moments as they are just as heartwarming as the games especially & their fight against bowser reminding me of ryu/ken against m. bison that also showed a closer relationship of a brotherly duo.:3) mario/peach(2nd favorite as while the beginning could've handled a few things better i loved it more than i thought showing peach's sweetness helping mario that i'd love to see more of in the sequel of them being a couple/expand the games with it.) mario/toad(wish the adventure was a bit longer to see them interact more but really love how loyal to his friends with neither objecting.) bowser/kamek(like how it's a bit less one sided ambiguous compared to robotnik and agent stone while kamek still gets comically handled for enabling bowser.) and mario/donkey kong(really made me think about how different their series are with how mario jumps to duty while dk usually is laid back unless someone messes with his friends/banana hoard and was awesome seeing dk use the power ups/try his best to defend mario from bowser and has a better relationship with cranky compared to how ornery he is in the country games,hope we see more of him with diddy/dixie.)

I find that the best relationship is between Mario and Peach, we see the evolution throughout the movie. Beginning of alchemy after the course, romantic scene in the fire flower field, flirting at rainbow road and then holdings hands at the wedding. Honestly, the managed the relationship really well, now we just have to hope that Nintendo doesn't ruin everything like they usually do in games.

My favorite dynamic was between Mario and Donkey Kong. Purely because they have the EXACT same dynamic that I had with my little brother when we used to play these games as kids. Mario and Luigi's relationship in this movie made me SO HAPPY! I'm so glad they didn't go with the stereotypical, annoying sibling hatred. It's so cliche and overdone.
