The whole shouting mechanic was actually in the Beijing DS version too. If you yell/blow into the microphone as you throw the hammer thing, an icon will appear and it’ll go farther I also remember an event where you had to clap beforehand to go farther, which was pretty weird (I think it was the long jump? Maybe?)

I also did my best with trying to fill out the companion game on the eShop that was about trying to collect cards of the characters in the game. I have so much nostalgia for the 2010 Olympic Games on the DS and playing it again now I still love it. I love it so much that it may even be in my top 10 favorite videogames, and easily in my top 10 Mario games. No words can do this game's story mode justice, and I endlessly recommend for anyone who is willing to try it out.
