Good effort although I feel like it could be a little better (namely by having Mario's death be on-screen). Something I imagine is Sonic suddenly boosting during the spindash in Mario's hands, knocking them back, at which point the momentum of the boost carries him straight through Mario's torso, cutting him in half. Maybe he'd zip around and cut him into more pieces, or homing attack him into the water and jump off a spring-shaped explosion. (Note that I'm not asking you to animate the majority of this, just thought that the lack of an on-screen K.O. was underwhelming. Still better than the channels that make a black screen after an attack with the alternate loser screaming and leave it at that lol.) Also, Sonic getting Mario's cap was a nice touch lol

The end of the fight has them both battling while falling from the atmosphere. Sonic can run at super sonic speeds while Mario struggles to race against a god damn turtle. While mario shows he has strength over sonic, Sonic has the upper hand on everything else, speed, agility, battle IQ, battle instincts, AND even in transformations he has more then mario(which surprised me even as a sonic fan), knowing sonics most basic move, spindash, can tear through pure metal with EASE, a fleshy mario holding it doesnt make the slightest sense at all. But lets say it doesnt end in one second as it shouldve, and it goes like in death battle and sonic turns hyper. The second he turns hyper one punch wouldve blown mario to bits LITERALLY, knowing that form can take down something powered by an infinite energy source.(the source being the master emerald) Even so, IF mario even had a nanosecond to spare even though he shouldnt have because of hyper sonics speed, lets say he did and got the star power up. Super/hyper Sonic takes 50 rings to activate, aka, 50 seconds of the transformation shouldve happened. The mario Star power up lasts 5. The reason Mario could pull power-ups out his ah was that you could actually store power-ups in one of the Mario games(look it up, I forget which) although he couldn't actually store the time freeze clocks, which are the only problems with the "Mario can also stop time" thing,(I think sonic can stop time in game? I dunno) In one game Sonic could store items but that cost an amount of... currency, crap I forgot, the point is, if he stored super form, then he couldn't store anything else, so him going hyper was kinda not...? I dunno, maybe I'm looking too deep into that

I agree with everything but let's talk about sonic turning hyper. Hyper sonic only lasted 41 seconds when its at least 50. Now let's check Mario lasted 30 something seconds when he is suppose to last for approximately 10. Also sonic can survive re entey. He shouldn't have dies in the original.
