Love the fact he's from Jersey and making us proud. So many great Drummers throughout history came from or live in NJ; Dino Danelli , Lenny White (lives there) Bernard "pretty"Purdie, Peter Erskine, Billy Hart (lives there) and Newark NJ native Eddie Gladden.

This was such a fantastic interview, and a huge part of that is thanks to the interviewer. Very down to earth, casual, and comfortable exploring other questions that may be unusual or not even relevant to drums. Felt like a great slice of who Mark is not only as a drummer, but a relatable person too! Thank you!

im impressed with this guy ,what that is worth coming from me but, he has the great wholistic outlook loving both the 'micro' and 'macro' joys of playing.meaning by your self.. with others ..and expressing music beyond the instrument.. taste and chops..he has found a new fan in me now..omg now they're talking about coffee..me too..forever fan..

I identify with Mark's talk of rituals on tour at 30:10 . It's a weird feeling to be in a new town every day having to find a sense of home.

Great interview. Really interesting to learn about his background and experience growing up. You don't get that very often.

Spannendes Gespräch und echt toller Interviewer. Gibt heutzutage so viele “what does this song mean?” Frage im Interview. Der Typ hat Gute Frage im Verlauf des Gesprächs gestellt, ganz zu schweigen von der Fremdsprache!
