Richard Hayward Yes, Emmy Lou has always been a perfectionist, my mom grew up with her, up til their last couple years of HS, when my mom got married(this was the 60's, so many girls got married young) & she wasn't as involved in after school clubs or sports anymore, like majorettes & band. I remember my Mom telling me about how her & E.L., that even though they were long time friends, they kinda had this long time rivalry, since they both competed for the same things. I still remember my Mom talking about how much of a perfectionist Emmy Lou was & it definitely paid off! If I remember correctly, her family was quite strict on her growing and & she was basically primed from the time she was a kid to be a beauty queen, singer/musician, or perhaps an actress (I think her & my Mom did some plays together?) & she did it, she made it big at a fairly young age, plus growing up so close to Washington DC didn't hurt! Plus she's gorgeous, even with that silver hair, it just fits her so well! It's making me not want to color my hair anymore! Lol
