​@@Jumbofreddy sorry, if you can copy this 1:1 then you are magic jumbo freddy.....it is obvious that due to his age he has some coordination errors....but he creates a new interpretation...that it is still his magic....you will have your serious problems just to clone him!! There is a reason why he will stop playing live....in his studio he can make several takes and the result is perfect!

I`m 49 years old, he is still the hero I had in 1985, utter cool through talent and ability, stunning song writer and the most uniquely original diverse and beautiful sounding guitarist that rock pop has produced, he sculpts and paints in music. I saw straits twice on the final tour and him solo 15 years back. very unigue mind and clearly intelligent

Quelle émotion, ce musicien a bercé mon adolescence (et toute ma vie finalement puisque j'ai joué des titres de lui très souvent dans ma vie) et c'est lui qui m'a donné envie de devenir musicien. Probablement un des compositeurs et guitariste les plus originaux des années 80.

I saw Dire Straits on their last tour in Switzerland a terrific night in Basel St. Jakob stadium and seen MK solo here in Copenhagen a few years ago and it's obvious he is still playing as good as he ever was.

I'm going to see him at the royal albert gallon the 21st may, and yes he's old he's almost 70 in august, what do you expect he's going to be playing like he played when he was 40 of course not, but the magic the music is still there and lets live this moment because we know how long these musicians have left, the rolling stones are all in their late 70s bruce springsteen is 70 this year, iggy pop is 72, ac dc are 65+

Namche Shep what makes you say so? I am a decent seasoned musician myself and I assume you at least know a “bad” note when you hear one. I listened to this a few times and it sounds like he always has but more mature. It’s also live audio from I assume a phone so some things are getting compressed out. Still damn good quality if that is the case. Knopfler has been a world class musician and guitarist for longer than I have been breathing. Why do you feel it is your job to point out two or so notes that weren’t exactly perfect out of the 1000 he played even better than the studio version. Don’t be so critical on the class acts that are older than most people in this comment section. Don’t expect studio quality every performance. But this was studio quality for god’s sake it’s even better. The band didn’t rehearse weeks on end and didn’t spend all of their lives crafting their skills just for you to point out two audio quips. Shut up and enjoy the music and you will find these mistakes humorous and human. Also go play this exact song live in this exact situation. Same gear and all and go pull it off this well. I am willing to bet I couldn’t. I am willing to bet neither could you. That’s a long and intricate solo section and singing while playing a very beautiful rhythm. It’s not nearly as easy as complaining on one little comment and insulting everyone else’s experience.
