Messier's opening comments are wild! He talks a lot, but, unlike most... HE SAYS SOMETHING!

Mark is a home town hero. I lived in Spruce Grove where Grant Fuhr tried to run down us with his kit car just for fun. He was wild and so were the rest of the Oilers. If Gretzky was the face of the franchise, Mark was the heart. We won without Gretz but not without Mark. It is nice to see him humbled now in life because he wasn't always that way. This interview was a great watch....

I also lived in Spruce Grove 2007 to 08. Nice little town. Lived in Calahoo court and the condos by the Macs store

He was for from a great leader. He was a rat with no integrity, who situated himself with talented players while elbowing other players and routinely getting suspended. He was a luckier Matt Cooke.
