This speech is one of the most powerful I’ve heard in decades and I agree with every single word of it! It says all you need to know about British politics and the “establishment” that allowed it to happen! As a footnote, I also blame Lindsey Hoyle for not reining in the untruths, delivered by Johnson, ad-nauseam, in parliament and, thereby, allowing parliament to descend into a total sham of what it should be (complete with baying, nodding dogs, packing the benches). Would Bercow have allowed this? When respect for government goes out of the window, respect for country follows close on its heels!!!
