He and Mr Ian Marsh of Pheonix School Dawley (long may he be treasured by his family and those he taught), are the two people who informed my political outlook for the rest of my life.... gosh, I only just thought, Mr Marsh must be finding it hard under the Tory regime in English schools :( I thought he was ace from the moment I met him because the pen on his desk had "I am not a number" stamped on it and he made jokes about being a communist.... If anyone knows him, let him know that the scruffy kid that didn't do any essays for History or Sociology in '96 didn't waste what he taught them, they did learn, it wasn't time thrown away....

I’ve got silver hair, went to public school, built and run a company and employed people and retired, but, thanks to Johnson, I no longer love the country of my birth! This speech is one of the most powerful I’ve heard in decades and I agree with every single word of it! It says all you need to know about British politics and the “establishment” that allowed it to happen! As a footnote, I also blame Lindsey Hoyle for not reining in the untruths, delivered by Johnson, ad-nauseam, in parliament and, thereby, allowing parliament to descend into a total sham of what it should be (complete with baying, nodding dogs, packing the benches). Would Bercow have allowed this? When respect for government goes out of the window, respect for country follows close on its heels!!!
