I feel like the 48 to 72 hour period of a water fast is the hardest, beyond 72 hours I'm cruising on ketones and feeling amazing

good timing, depression was kicking my ass.. started omad keto diet and lost 4 kg in 6 days.. ( water weight obvisoly) my mind feels much better.

Similar here. I also started taking a fish oil/omega 3 supplement that provides 1000mg DHA/500mg EPA daily and that had a huge benefit on my depression symptoms. Give it a try.

The closest feeling to instant results I had was to follow Starting Strength. Lineally progressing and I felt so motivated every week until it got very mentally hard...but by that point I was so dialed in to my routine, I was ready to switch it up. And the diet and exercise is intertwined.

27:53 I’ve been following a very similar diet for the last 10 weeks or so minus the 42 hour fasting. I find instead of fueling with carb drinks, fueling with maple syrup or dates around my more intense workouts is very helpful too! Literally just take them to the dome. You get lots of concentrated carbs without a whole meal sitting in your stomach.

8:00 the opposite too Insima. I coach tennis at the highschool and lot of the kids don't know anything about strength training so I bring out my plates and rings and teach them some basic stuff. Carries, hinges, squats, pushes, pulls, lunges. I appreciate they like the sport but I want them to be whole athletes.

I’m like 290 at 45. I’m tired of being heavy and I like to run and sprint more than anything, always have. I’m def getting on this boat. Need something different. Think I’m I’m going to shoot for 225-230 at 6’3” by summer
@LJDS1979Ай бұрын
You can do it! I was 280 and now I'm 237 as of this week. I used alternate day fasting but you definitely don't want to jump into that. Slow and steady wins the race. You got this!

Ive fasted 30 days multiple times usually every January in the new year... i feel just for weight loss, 1 meal every 48-72 hrs untill lean is the best imo

What supplements do you take during the 48 hour fast
@jasonmiller155328 күн бұрын
Do you think some of the problem for a lot of people that are trying to transition from sedentary to active have a problem shifting the level of calories with the increased level of activity. That's a pretty big shift. And Mark is looking pretty great.
@march80079Ай бұрын
Interesting as always 💯 A question for Mark: during the 48 hours fasting do you train?
@koreyhannan9071Ай бұрын
I feel the same. I normally have a feeling of if I should have something leaner or more fatty. If I'm on the higher protein and fat diet, that is.

I’ve tried fasting, it’s difficult! I feel weak, workouts suck, not to mention my sex drive is pretty much non existent
@koreyhannan9071Ай бұрын
If u get on a low carb diet a few days before it will help
@gabec9897Ай бұрын
@ how much should I shoot for a day?
@guyjones967812 күн бұрын
@gabec9897 that depends upon how much you are consuming today. I found that halving my carbs for a few weeks (dropped from a 5000 cal per diet) helped me become more aware of what was going in. Also starchy rice is filling and helps to smooth out your energy. Then after 2 weeks halve it again for a week, then start the keto, eating fatty cuts will blunt your hunger and keep you feeling full for longer. After a few months once you are fat adapted and definitely in ketosis, you can have days of no fat higher protein and days of no food at all. You can also have carbs from time to time. I also found that going to family occasions and not eating their shitty carb choices can upset your hosts. So have a day of eating shit. Follow that with high protein high fat then follow that with a fast. I totally agree with Mark that intermittent fasting works synergistically with keto every time.
