That middle story has a further update. The husband's sister was visiting, he was keeping it secret because said sister is legally NOT supposed to be around children... Details of why that is weren't given, so we don't know if she has an obsessive mental disordered regarding kids, abused kids to the point she's not allowed near them, or is a pedo... Don't know if OP left her husband but the fact that he was letting his sister around them against the law means that OP would get full custody if they went that route.

Story 2. First, as for the tampon in between the car cushions and in OP drawer, that is classic mistress acts 101. Mistresses are well known to leave one of their items in a place where they know the wife will find it and knows its not their. OP did say that due to her contraception, she doesn't get her period. So it's not likely that one of her kids, let's say, got into her purse and took the tampons out. Although there was one time when my twins were 4, and they snuck into my bedroom, then my bathroom. Parents will get this, but kids being noisy is what a parent wants. Because when suddenly your kids go from loudly playing to completely quiet, we know they are up to something. So, suddenly, my kids became very quiet, and when I hunted them down and found them, I busted out laughing. They were so proud that they found "airplanes" that could stick to the wall. So, they were busy decorating Mama's and Daddy's bedroom. What airplanes might you ask? They found my sanitary pads, opened them up, and then decorated our wall with the airplanes Mama had hiding in her bathroom! Lol. As for the onsie and clip. OP needs to look at the daycare concerning the clip and onsie. When my kids were in daycare I cant even count the number of time that my kids clothes would disappear, or when o e of my kids had an accident at daycare, and came home wearing clothes I didn't leave in their clean up bag. It's quite possible that the tampon issue and onsie issue are two different things that just so happened to occur in the same time period.
@untitled-gv3qp Жыл бұрын
But with the onsie and clip she couldn't have gotten it from daycare unless the husband took her there against the OPs wishes and knowledge. He claims that she wasn't around anyone and that no one changed her clothes or did her hair. If he did take her to daycare while she's still recovering from being sick then it brings up the question of why. Why did he get the kid out of the house and lie about it?

@@PinkMarshmallows What was really going on? Edit: nevermind, I managed to find the post myself. Apparently the husband was letting his pdf file sister around the kids and gaslighting the OP into oblivion to avoid telling her. Even using her past trauma to do it. This dude let a woman that molested another young family member for years take care of the OPs kids overnight without supervision and allowed her to change their baby's clothes. The OP found out because the doorbell camera caught the two walking up to the front door hand in hand with the kids like a happy family "which just has weird/gross incesty vibes considering the guy even let her sleep in their bed and she could've been molesting the husband as a kid as well". That marriage would be over. I'd see if I could get full custody too because it's obvious that the husband doesn't care about his kids wellbeing. And those poor girls are too young to vocalize if anything actually happened to them or not.

I was curious but was like "eh, its not too weird of a story, theres a lot of explanations" and kinda forgot about it. Now, I'm fully immersed and need to know how this saga plays out. Its so bizarre and nothing makes total sense. Like if its an affair, why would the AP be so blatant about their presence but also still not come right out and tell OP? You'd think if they were trying to cover their tracks, theyd just use the clothes that the husband/family already has for the kid. If its a tumor or mental illness, why would OP use clothes that she knows she hates and is certain shes never seen before? Its one thing to forget you changed the baby, which is plausible. It's entirely different to forget buying/inheriting a new outfit, in the style that you despise no less, then dress your child in it while doing their hair too. Its just too many steps in too many different environments to totally forget. Theres a lot of coincidences too. If it is something benign like the daycare mixing up the clothes, then whats up with the tampons? If the tampons are the AP's or sister's, then whats up with the clothes? I dont even care if this story is fake, I need a satisfying conclusion lol

My guess for story 2? There's some sort of missing information. If they're estranged from one of the mothers, maybe the father has been inviting her over to see the kids without telling the wife because he knew she would (probably rightfully) be against it. Giving a small kid a new outfit is exactly something a grandma would want to do, along with a hair clip. Additionally, if the mother had been cut off for toxic behavior, especially if it was the wife who cut the mother off, it would make sense to plant tampons everywhere the husband wouldn't look but the wife would to try to cause issues. I also liked the guess someone else made about it being the husband doing drugs or something else he wants to hide from the wife and hiring a sitter without telling the wife.

Story 2: My bet is that it's the jealous coworker trying to convince OP her husband is cheating so she can swoop in and take him after the divorce. Or it was an affair but husband realized what coworker was up to and called it off. Though I would've thought things would've escalated more if that's the case.

I wonder if the Op have any single bff. As one who have listen to RP clip one thing you hear is that if a woman have single friends they may be jealous of her relation and trying to sabotage it.

Honestly, it's best for the kids that they're not around an adult that resents them and their father. It could do real emotional damage.

Story 1 NTA. OP did the right thing. She said from the start of the relationship that she didn't want children. The bf was using OP as an unpaid nanny and he needs to step up and be a father. I feel sorry for the children but OP is not responsible for them. The bf needs to understand that although raising children is challenging it also has rewards especially if he works on his relationship with his kids. I gather from the comments that some people aren't satisfied with the ending. I think it is a good ending. OP will still see the children from time to time but as a fun aunt. The children have lost their mother and they got used to OP. When the little girl asked if she could still be her best friend it tugged at my heartstrings. The child is clearly fond of OP and it would be hard on the child to suddenly be cut off from OP.

OP shouldn't get into any relationship where the partner is a parent, no matter the kids living situation. Because anything could happen to change it, such as it. OP was right in leaving, but shouldn't have gotten with him period!

That would have been the best outcome, but no. OP posted a final update today, and I really wished he was cheating. But it's much, much worse. He put the kids in danger, and I'm angry on OP's behalf.

S1.💯 NTA! Had a very similar experience with my XF. Did the boundaries talk, expressed my concerns about my abilities to help with a kid, but my X went back on his word, then I was the bad guy 4 "not stepping up". Except, I did, just not to my Xs standards, even though he didn't help at all. This sucks, I sincerely hope OP is alright

Why would you date someone with kids if you didn't want kids? That doesn't make any sense.
@Mykie222 Жыл бұрын
Story 1: He's a butthole but I dont think OP shouldve even gotten together. If you dont want to be a parent, i dont think you should date a parent. Also this make me wonder if parents who dont have their kids 24/7 consider their children when choosing their partner. She was right on leaving and i hope she doesn't date anymore parents (unless the kids are older).

Coming from a home where emotions weren’t allowed, I disagree with the assumption that dad was a lazy, selfish jerk. Boys are commonly mentally abused like I was. From the time they are toddlers they are told they aren’t even allowed to cry. “You have nothing to cry about!”, “Dry it up or I’m going to take my belt off.”, or “ Stop crying, or I’ll give you something to cry about.”, are normal things kids hear in A LOT of homes. They grow up with no training in how to soothe THEMSELVES & yet society OBVIOUSLY expects them to manage not only their emotions in a healthy way, but (as we see here) also those of grieving children! If you want to assign blame, the way we, as a society, treat our boys is the guilty party. That he expected OP to handle that is not unsurprising, when in homes girls are comforted and moms are (in a decent situation) comforting. When that’s all he’s seen, how is he the AH? This was a society driven incident. We as a society have to change these things, not just “man shame”. SMH- no ah here. (OP just needs stronger boundaries, and she’s got that covered.)

S1: Shitty situation but OP did the right thing, in the long run. Only thing I think she should consider is whether it’s wise to be with someone with kids when you’re child free. Seems like a set up waiting to happen and something to avoid in the future.
@Maestrosendgame Жыл бұрын
I don’t think it would’ve been an issue if he didn’t try make her a mom when she clearly said she didn’t want that
@diamcole Жыл бұрын
@@Maestrosendgame I think entering into a relationship where one is adamantly child free and the other has children is a relationship with a "rocky foundation" at the outset. There are fundamental incompatibilities at play. The person with kids will need to prioritize them/their development but that's not the responsibility of the person who is child free - especially if they have boundaries around even raising children. Makes sense that a 24 year old wouldn't necessarily consider all of this at the start of the relationship, OP isn't at fault, but I doubt she'll date someone with children going forward which is probably best given her very valid boundaries.

@michealwatts7469 Жыл бұрын
The only thing Id say OP is TAH for is attempting to be with this guy when he had kids. If they had gotten married she would have been a step mom essentially and a possibility that kids dont come more frequently isnt a possibility for you? The Ex’s issue was his handling of it but I guess at the same time he had kids, thats his responsibility and I assume he’s overwhelmed. Not an excuse just the reasoning of being a single parent.
