Unfortunately common in that community. It’s like they don’t like women for more than one reason…obviously it’s not everyone but I had a boss like this. Didn’t need women, didn’t like women, didn’t want them around. Also him telling the kids to like boys…uhh do not tell my children who to be attracted to, so so inappropriate. They will make their own decisions.

💯 OP needs to say to husband... I am not my parents. Either you believe that or you don't. While i love you, you need to understand that either he's lying or I am. If you dump me and find out I'm not the liar he's going to do it to your next gf and the one after that etc. I and my child, on the other hand will get to live my life sans misogynist AHs. I can't prove what he's doing but my mental health cannot cope with his behaviour towards me. Take your time to choose but there are consequences if you believe the stories of liars.

That's not how he meant it. I read through the whole thing and it was a poor choice of words but the meaning of what he was saying is still obvious, IMO. He said he told his friends that was a poor word choice to describe what he was feeling and that he found her beautiful before birth but finds his attraction to her now is off the charts since she became a mother.

Looking at OP's post history I think it's safe to assume that she should just run. Her husband apparently thought she was ugly when they got married and only now finds her pretty after being pregnant and having a baby. He apologized after, but now with this whole mess of in-laws and him seemingly being swayed by them I feel like she should just cut and run. Everything about this just seems disgusting and I hope for OP and her baby are able to get away from that.

My fiance brought home 2 kittens he found at his work. They were barely a week old at the time and one weighed 4 ounces, one weighed 5 ounces. It was very hard for the first month or so, waking for round the clock KMR bottle feedings, and potty stimulating. I'd weigh them every evening and write it down in a daily planner to make sure they were growing well. They are now a few months old and growing big. We were going to re-home them after I weened them because we already had a pair of 2 year old cats but we got really attached and they all get along pretty well so now we have a clowder of cats. 3 of them are super cuddly and one not so much. I wouldn't trade any of them for the world tho there are some stressful days and a lot of sleepless nights. We also have 2 children and they love the cats and kittens very much. I'm glad OP was able to save and care for the kitten and save other potential animals in the future by attempts to prevent the prior owner from adopting any animal

Story 2: I have met so many people who are like the BIL’s husband. They basically acted like they were above everyone else and that once they got into a “woke family”. That family affectively became their flying monkeys. I am fairly certain that the family will affectively. Let him do anything short of a legal, because as soon as someone speaks out against him, he will send the flying monkeys to shun them. I think you have a few of the characters in this story messed up and confused. Don't worry, it isn't hard to confuse them when you have same-sex couples LOL. However, let me give you a "different" theory. Perhaps things are not as the OP is telling us. Perhaps the "mean things" her BIL (who is the husband of her other BIL and I say this only to correct your confusion of the characters in this story) are reactionary to "mean things" she has said to him. It doesn't appear that the things said in the text messages her husband saw were all too damning as nobody seemed to care much about them. The only reason I say this is that she NEVER called the guy HER BIL. She called him her BIL's Husband and also, her husband's brother's husband. But never HER BIL. Based on that, the fact she doesn't like him, and also the fact she was raised religiously in a home and church that didn't approve of homosexuality, perhaps she is letting a bit of homophobia affect her??? This would mean her post on Reddit may have been done and worded as such to ease some guilt she was having about some hidden homophobia. Just another possible scenario. I have been having fun all week nailing OP's in stories on here, and other KZbin channels such as Markee and Lost Genre. These OP's are more blatant doing what I like to call, "The Reddit Two-Step". Where the OP posts a story, gets absolutely decimated in the comments, and then comes back with one or more updates that turn the original story upside down with "new info" and "new facts" that normally would have been important to have in the original story. At this point, the OP now looks like a total victim and the person(s) they talked about in their original story look like massive horrific abusive monsters even though the original story said nothing like that about them LOLOLOLOL.

These days, I doubt nearly any story someone says about others being repeatedly verbally abusive of them with little to no evidence. It's so easy to record what people are saying on your phone and gather tons of recordings. That's why I am doubting the OP's version of this story. Those texts must not have been as "damning" as she claims if nobody paid that much attention to them. You need SOLID and TONS OF EVIDENCE to prove your point when it is a he-said-she-said sort of deal and the family usually sides with the "He" in it. She should have known this but instead, she NEVER recorded the massive amounts of bad things the BIL supposedly said to her. Also, why didn't she just call him her BIL rather than calling him her BIL's husband??? Or husband's brother's husband??? Perhaps she is a bit more homophobic than she wants to let on??? Anyway, I call "Cap" on this story.

So I adopted Cole when he was 16, died at 17.5, he didn’t have any personal belongings, had been abandoned years before and was being fed as a stray (he wouldn’t let anyone near him so they couldn’t grab him to take to the Scottish cats protection league), and when he came to me I was told how at _some point_ in his life he was loved because he’d had dental work done and had been fixed. Found out from a mutual friend who lived in the town he was a stray that he believed Cole had been abandoned by a woman for her new boyfriend (who later abused her and they split), and the reason he knew it had to be Cole was because he was a Scotsfold which isn’t a common breed in the Scottish Highlands. So I adopted him, I’m mostly bedridden and housebound disabled and just wanted a cat of any age, sex or fur colour, so long as they were an indoor cat! He got taken to mine (I legally can’t drive cus disabilities and meds) by the charity and they were so happy he had a loving home to go to, where his first night he hugged into my chest in bed. Apparently he had “slight behavioural issues” but I actually found he really didn’t, he just didn’t like people touching his paws (so I got his several scratching posts to wear down his claws) and didn’t like his back legs being touched, I figured he’d been abused previously at some point and it was a trigger response, so I made him feel safe and loved. Too many animals are claimed to have “behavioural issues” when really they’re abuse survivors who go to protect themselves, and cats and dogs obviously can’t talk like humans so can’t vocalise “do not do this, it triggers my panic response.” And too many people get away with abusing animals and not facing any consequences for their actions, if they don’t want judged then maybe they shouldn’t be abusing animals! Cole btw was super fast at running around my house for his age, loved playtime, I adapted the house for his arthritis so he could walk on “stepping stones” to get up to the sofa and my bed, he LOVED being picked up and hugged like a big baby, was super loving, he also liked sunbathing in my window. Some of the local cops and I go way back and I lived next to a crappy pub, they’d see Cole in the window and would give the good old excuse of “seen anything around the pub that’s dodgy….. oh sweet, it’s Cole, imma give Cole lots of attention” whilst getting a cup of tea, if you weren’t careful and left a copper hat on the floor he’d curl into it as his new found bed. The pub landlord would pop round sometimes to see Cole as well, she really loved cats and would take any excuse honestly. He strangely did not attack anyone, he was very happy to greet all new friends! He only ever bit one guy once and that’s cus despite being warned “no touch back legs or paws” he did it anyway, and that guy turned out to be a wrong un who cheated on my friend, I’d like to think Cole just knew he was of crappy character. Still very much miss my big baby, his wonderful hugs, and having him sleep on my head in bed, he was so incredibly loving, and really didn’t have any “behavioural issues.”

Kitten Story Comments: I have my first cat. Since I was about 4 at 24. I got him when I was about 21. Do I miss the kitten years? Yeah. I miss him being a tiny little fuzz ball. But even though he went from "humans scare me" to "tiny tornado" to "These humans are my pet and toys and I'm in charge." I'm happy I got to see him grow into a long cat that might actually get to meet my and my partners first child when we are able to have one (cat is about 3 and given no medical complications come up its possible he could live to be 14-18, 20 if he's lucky, 25-30 if he torments the reaper enough to give him extra lives). Honestly? I can't imagine giving him up (unless it is for his own health and benefit for me to do so) and him never having the chance to be a part of a little bit bigger family. As much as he would hate me for the toddler phase, I have a feeling he might be built for a tiny human in the home. He likes cuddles and pets, he will run over and listen to me sing if he hears me (I used to sing to him as a kitten and I guess he liked it), and I'm 1000% sure I'm going to have to fight him to get the baby's teething ring back (he LOVES cold things, especially ice). He also doesn't mind yelling or screaming (we had nightmare neighbors who would go off at 3AM and we have loud friends that have gone off at 3PM).

Story 2: what??? Youre bullying him by flaunting your motherhood? Gay men dont want to be mothers, they're not women. Gay men don't mourn the fact that they can't give birth. Trans women sometimes do, but not gay men. He can be a FATHER if he wants to be, but saying you're holding it over his head that you gave birth and he can't is ridiculous logic and a cop out excuse for him being mean to you. This guy is catty and manipulative.
@damien678
@damien678 11 ай бұрын
Some gay men (that aren't secretly trans women) actually do mourn the fact they can't give birth. Some want to be able to have womb transplants so they can. But I wouldn't be surprised if that had more to do with wanting bio kids with their partners, and not wanting to deal with a surrogate situation because of potential risks and maybe even ethical reasons.

Recently there's been another story from a BIL who is dealing with his SIL who is mad at him for not agreeing with her that her husband needs to take on more chores and work with the baby at night because hubby works in the morning and risks falling asleep while driving. He offered time management advice, she got mad and said he'd never understand due to being unable to have children. I wonder if these two are two sides of the same story.

If I was that OP, I'd lowkey be tempted to go scorched earth. *Especially* if husband turns out to be useless. Just go full on social media about how he harasses ALL women, and how he's such a MASSIVE misogynist, and how his ENTIRE family encourages it. Posting screenshots, and collaborating with SIL about how he "talked to her sons about how they HAVE to try out peepee, and how he's willing to show them his." And how due to that: You are no longer comfortable having children around him. And how he constantly spouts about women being inferior, and how men are superior, AND trying to "convert" your husband. Tricky to avoid religious connotations. But, could thrown in how pushing gay prawn onto children is NOT acceptable, and how you'll let the children choose their own identity once they grow up. And his threats that "He'll STOP loving them UNLESS they become gay, is unacceptable and toxic."

For the husband of BIL in the second story, in Dutch we have the term "valse nicht" for this kind of people. Don't think there is a correct translation for it but it refers to homosexual people who provoke other people with all kind of insults and when somebody calls them out react like the other one is telling lies because they are homophobic. People like BIL's husband need the same bat counseling as the animal abuser in story 1.

In my opinion, if you don’t want to be known for abusing animals, you can just not abuse them. It’s pretty damn simple. If you can’t manage a pet, don’t own one. If people knowing the truth about what you’ve done will make them all hate you, it’s your fault when they hate you, not who/what caused people to find out.

S2- Years ago, before i met my husband, he was at a bar in his home town and just hanging out. When he went out to have a smoke, this man came up to him and started to AgGrEsSiVeLy flirt with him. Hard. My husband is not into men. He likes women. He told this man as such. But he kept pushing, and pushing, trying to "convince" my husband that he would like it and that "you dont know unless you try". So, my husband was like "okay, come here" and led him to a cop and said (paraphrasing here) "this man is harrasing me and wont stop. I have told him no, and dont want him trying anything. Tell him to leave me alone. If i beat him up i will be charged with assult with a deadly weapon and a hate crime. Twice." My husband was on leave (Ranger/ Green Beret) white, and a body builder. The other man was gay (obviously) and black. The officer told my husband to go and told the other guy to leave.

Markee kind of tricked me out talking about what is and is not equal in their workload like Hope he herself was acknowledging that and explaining why and regardless it's none of his business how they are splitting domestic labor in their home. If the husband is not vocalizing complaints about this, I really don't see any justification for his comments, despite the fact that it is unequal.
