Mountain Air is a beautiful place. I’ve worked up their building some of those houses. A lot of famous people own property up there. My family’s land was in the distance engulfed in the clouds. It joins Mt. Mitchell state park. Bill Banks, the man who envisioned and built Mountain Air used to bear hunt with my great grandfather Ewart Wilson. Great family friend. He and my grandmother were very close friends.

awesome video.. im not familiar with the first airport but i've been to the 2nd.. its beautiful up there.. do you guys use radios before you approach airports? just wondering.. if you would of went a little further i might of see you flying in the sky.. 🙂👍

Some of the best inland flying has been the Appalachians, I've only been to Mountain City, Huntington, West Portsmouth and Waverly, all this year and I am impressed. Flat lander here...

Student damaged it. While waiting on parts, I cracked the curved part off, smoothed out the broken edges, restrung it, and that's what you're seeing in the video. It's all good now, though, as parts have arrived.
