"Why did you get bigger?!?" Tyrants, and Nemesis, wear something called a Limiter. That is what their coat is called. It is not just a fashion accesoire. When you shot him you could see how the bullets would deflect from his coat. That is because it is an ultra-durable coat strapped around the body. Especially looking at his right hand (from his perspective) you can see two "belts". The function of the limiter is twofold. It protects the Tyrant/Nemesis and prevents them from mutating both from basically pressing their body together as well as protecting them from too much damage which would cause mutation as well. The more ya know! :D

I wouldn't try to compare the original and 2nd runs too much. The 2nd runs were added after Backlash that they wouldn't be in the game, but they were rushed and are essentially just shortened versions of the characters main story. In Claire's story, A or B, Tyrant dies at the half way point, but in Leon's story, A or B, he is the final boss at the end. The inconsistencies are very apparent.

Just a tip for anyone who is doing the second run either with Claire or Leon. Save the Stars Office and hallway for last. Once you enter there it triggers Tyrant to show up, and makes your run more difficult. Also general tip. I think this is obvious, but shoot zombies in the leg instead. I came back to "Claire-ify" some info for you Mark: You are playing Claire story B in B-mode you only get .45 ammo (or better) and if you want 9mm you MUST craft it, B-mode is slightly harder and has much different enemy placement as i'm sure you have noticed.
