Story 2: I have known about my termination date for a while now, and have made a deal with the employer to work from home 3 days a week. I have some wrapping up to do but other than that I don't have much to lose when it comes to work. I ofc still do tasks handed to me but I don't go above and beyond anymore since I know I have a ticking clock over my head. Most working-from-home days are very chill.

Just Desserts? Me and somr friends went to a restaurant that doubles as a nightclub with live entertainnment We arrived two hours before it was to start which was fine by us. Told the matrede we weren't staying for the show and were seated neat the "stage" area. We wait about 20 minutes before our waiter cam to give us menues and waited another 20 minutes before he returned to take our order. Half an our after that I see another table who came in after us being served their meal. Now our meal was for 6 people and theirs was for four but noo more complicated than theres was to make, some of the dishes ordered exactly the same. We called over the matrrede and asked where our food was and why it was taking so long? He said he'd check on it after we told him what we had ordered. Both he and our waiter return with apologees and our food. Seems our waiter's orders for our food had been made, but got sent out to the other table by accident (they had a different waiter. Perhaps he did it purposely to cause shit to this waiter? IDK). WE eat fast cus we are hungry. as we are eating he asks if we want some dessert, I said yes and orderd a piece of chocolate suffle pie. (I assume it is premade and ready to dispence out to diners) BY now its been an hour and a half since we first arrived, and the band is starting to set up. 15 more minutes pass and no dessert. I was about to cancel it when the Matrede appears and asks us if we are going to stay for the show and that a cover charge will be added to our bill. Within the last half hour the pplac e became packed with diner 9:30 at night on a sunday and the waiters were having trouble moving among the crowd. The matrede asked us why we were still here if we weren't going to stay for the shhow. and I said I made the istake of ordering the suffle pie a half hour ago. You can cancel the pie and just bring us our check and we'll leave. He said absolutely, i'll be back. We did at that time complain to him though the food was delicious the service had bee slow and spotty, no one every came back to check if we want drinks with diner or if the food was good, or if we needed anything else until he asked about desert. We never did get out tea and coffe nor our beers (we werren't charged for them anyway as they orders were never put in fir them for our table. I think the table that got our orders got them too. Just as we were about to leave without paying our waiter came up and gave us our bill without the dessert, but that was still listed on the bill. He said he'd bring it and we all screamed "No!" just take it off the bill. It is now 10 PM and the band is starting to play ludly. We can see Matrade talking with our waiter both looking angrily over at our table. My friend Michele sitting next to me was doing something now and then to the salt and pepper shakers as well as he place settings and those of use around her she could reach. Moving Utensils and plates glasses and placing them back down in their proper serving possitions. When she was done she slipped something back into her ginormous purse (about the size of a napsack). The matrede came over demanding we pay for our meal and the show We said no just the meal minus the dessert we never got because service had been slow all night, our order messed up . He agreed, we paid and proptly left. My friend Michele was chuckling quietly to herself as we left and walked home once down the block aways where we couldn't be seen anymore I turned to Michele who was now in fits of laughter. Knowing her evil streak I asked her what she had done. As she continued to howl with laughter she removed from her ginormous purse a empty tube of Krazyglue. I put two and teo togther and came out with her having glued those items she could reach on the table to the table top. We all burst out laughing so had. We never went back for feaar of being arrested or something. My only regret is I hoped that the waiter didn't get screwed finacially for the stuck items. Then she told us once we had calmed down enough to breathe and talk she had glued the tip to the table to. We all lost it again. Were we the assholes or was the Matrede trying to scam us into paying for the show we had no intention of staying to see, or was the waiter that incompetent? Other than when the Waiter came by our table we never saw him taking orders from other table nor moving about the room, so we never saw him busy doing other tasks on the floor. In the end after all the frustration I felt we got our money's worth in laughter.

Before I took the seat of VP in my company, there was an incredibly stupid rule. There is 10 levels of raises and you used to have to wait nearly 8 years to get the 10th one. The old office staff was.... Crap lol no nice way to say it really, anyhow I tired to change that rule but the guy who first came up with the dumb rule smugly claimed "you can't just chance policies just like that" I dropped the topic and walked away defeated... That is untill I realized " dude you are literally, this man's bosses bosses boss" next day I follow procedure and submitted the paperwork to have it changed. He then had the balls to take it and shredded the whole package... While looking at me in the eye. I calmly told him, you know that is insubordination right? Dude turned pale, the CEO was stands next to me and exclaimed, it appears to be... Long story short, I terminated his butt and change the policy.
