Brilliant comment,. It's an institution. True that.

The only people that care about and mention hurricanes that much are out of towners. We don’t care. It’s just hurricanes. We aren’t the only ones that have to deal with them and rebuild. Houston, Florida the entire coast etc. Appreciate the comment but that narrative is kind of aggravating and I hate that the media has done that.
@meluk69913 жыл бұрын
@@Iamhimbutyouarenot you're right but NO's civil engineering works against it comes hurricane time as it becomes a city trapped underwater due to the levies thus making it far more dangerous than other cities. And not to mention the cost of rebuild due to the entire place being submerged longer than it should as compared to other places. To me, these are unique challenges that the people of NO have to surmount with much, much more resilience.

@@RayRay002 Yes, our culture. Soul Food isn't just what we eat, it's how it's prepared. That's why you can go to a soul food restaurant and find spaghetti, as one example, on the menu. It won't look or taste anything like what an Italian restaurant would serve, but it's spaghetti just the same. Stop being intimidated by Blk ppl loving and appreciating ourselves. There's enough love for Wht folks in this world without you being bothered by someone sharing the love.

How is soul food your culture? White people can’t even season food properly but since you feel some type of way you can claim the the potato salad with raisins, dry and unseasoned chicken, deer meat and ambrosia salad with marshmallows because that 💩 is nasty anyway.😂😂😂 FYI white people in the south didn’t cook back then their slaves did. I love the painting of Willie Mae and I hope it forever stays in the restaurant. I don't live in America so I'm loving seeing all sorts of places and the history behind the people. I live in New Zealand and I've been lucky to visit America's typical tourist places. The first time was when I was 13 and my sister was 15 as a family we went to Los Angeles, San Diego, New York and Hawaii. On my way to see my sister in England I stopped over at San Francisco for a week. I wish that I could of spent time in places off the beaten track to get to know the locals and experience their way of life. This is one of the reasons I really love watching Mark's videos, he is an outstanding guy, Ying is great at multi-tasking and the glimpses we see or hear from Micah are treasured. It sort of feels like the Weins are a part of my family and I can imagine many more people who feel the same. One man has bought so many people together not just the people he shares a meal with but all of us loyal subscribers as well. There are not many people who can do that. Those of you that got to the end of my message thank you and I sincerely hope that you and your loved ones are doing well especially with Delta Covid attacking the world. Xx

@@eazydazit thank you, your words have come at a time when I needed them most. The reason (I'll try not to waffle on) is because 14 months ago I lot my Mum to cancer and on the 27th of January this year I found my Dad has passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep. Eleven years ago when I was 32 my life long specialists gave me two years at the most to live which was realistic considering my extensive health history so we all thought that I would pass first. I've always been extremely close with my parents and when it became too dangerous medically for me to live alone I moved back home. I have to fight to overcome all of my medical issues but having my parents fight with me and for me made it a lot easier. It's a difficult time but I want to keep fighting for both my parents and myself because I take my parents with me everywhere in my heart. I hope that you and your loved ones are doing well and that you have a great life. You deserve all the kindness in the world because I feel that you are empathetic and I suspect that at times you feel a strong urge to reach out even to a stranger to share your kindness and caring thoughts.
