Mark, how clever of you to make it to Lebanon! One of my favorite countries ever! I went to the American University of Beirut couple of years ago to study Arabic and the history of the Arab world and I ended up falling in love with Lebanon. What a beautiful country! The mountains, the cedar forests ( a UNESCO heritage site), the amazing and ancient history of Lebanon known as ancient Phoenicia where the Alphabet was invented in the lovely city of Byblos, the land where Europa was born. She was born in Tyre, less than 40 Km from Beirut.. Lebanon is amazing and safe ! I’m so happy you get to live and see the wonders of that country and taste its unparalleled gastronomy . Although, the best food is generally eaten at people’s homes. The Lebanese cook like nobody else. And on top of that, they are so kind, generous and hospitable. I must go back. Greetings from Norway.

I still remember my first Lebanese Meze at directly at the Seashore in Beirut. After more than 50 different dishes and 3 to 4 hrs at the table with lots of Arak, the Main Course of much different Fish has been served. I fell in love with Beirut and Lebanon at the first bite. I was fortunate and blessed to return many times, sometimes for the weekend only. :-D NB: It is unfortunate what happened to Lebanon afterward. Thank you, Mark, for sharing. Enjoy

Such a beautiful city, I never knew just how beautiful Beirut is, sadly I started watching more of Beirut after the explosion, it’s heartbreaking to know how much damage was done...the people of Beirut are so amazingly beautiful, certainly not the place I’ve heard so many things about esp during the war, I hope to someday visit (after my visit to Jordan Amman, when it’s safe to go no less) I can’t wait, there is so much of the world to see, I lived in Texas for 22 years, born and raised in Canada, we think our food is amazing, far cry from other parts of the world

Mark, I don’t think I can find anyone more qualified to enjoy “BBQ pit boys” than you. Every time I watch their food I want to teleport into the video and eat some of that great food. I know you can ultimately describe what these boys are always creating and take my wondering tastebuds into food heaven.

@@jjbc9769 You need to look at a map of Brazil. It's a humongous country compared to Peru. It also has a big Afro-Brazilian culture in Bahia. And of course the different tribes -some still living in the Amazon. @@samthepoet107 but talking about food Peru is more diverse. Peru has the record of the country with the highest number of dishes and recipes. and Peru also have a lot of amazon tribes and andean comunities, and afroperuvians.
