Mark, how clever of you to make it to Lebanon! One of my favorite countries ever! I went to the American University of Beirut couple of years ago to study Arabic and the history of the Arab world and I ended up falling in love with Lebanon. What a beautiful country! The mountains, the cedar forests ( a UNESCO heritage site), the amazing and ancient history of Lebanon known as ancient Phoenicia where the Alphabet was invented in the lovely city of Byblos, the land where Europa was born. She was born in Tyre, less than 40 Km from Beirut.. Lebanon is amazing and safe ! I’m so happy you get to live and see the wonders of that country and taste its unparalleled gastronomy . Although, the best food is generally eaten at people’s homes. The Lebanese cook like nobody else. And on top of that, they are so kind, generous and hospitable. I must go back. Greetings from Norway.

You Mark....appear to me to be such a genuinely nice fellow. I’m subscribing to your channel simply because of your warmth and enthusiasm . The media tends only to focus on what’s wrong with the Middle East...as opposed to what’s right...the people...the country...and the hospitality is certainly something....and the food ( most of it it anyway) Is delicious Thank you for posting this video..🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Dont missunderstand me but I dont like the fact he visited like 4 cities in brazil and just 2 in Peru. Besides, he did more videos for brazil. Come on, what does he think?

@@madetoorder2010 I have a friend there I met on chat from the internet many years ago. She told me her grandfather immigrated there from China. She probably comes from that community -at least descended- over time in Lima.

@@jjbc9769 You need to look at a map of Brazil. It's a humongous country compared to Peru. It also has a big Afro-Brazilian culture in Bahia. And of course the different tribes -some still living in the Amazon. They all have their variations of culture but he would be remiss to give a scant documentation on Brazil the home of the carnival and Samba.
@jjbc97695 жыл бұрын
@@samthepoet107 but talking about food Peru is more diverse. Peru has the record of the country with the highest number of dishes and recipes. and Peru also have a lot of amazon tribes and andean comunities, and afroperuvians.
