"Do not hit yourself in the leg with a big heavy chunk of iron. it's generally bad, just don't do that." Lol. You're my favorite coach/trainer/sensei I've ever had. You explain things in a way that my ADHD dyslexic brain can understand and grasp fairly quickly. I say, "Push, swing, pull catch" the whole time i practice now and it does really help to say shit out loud. And oddly enough, i find that club swinging really soothes my anxious brain. Maybe it's the rhythm of it, i don't know but... Addicted! Thanks as always for the great teaching!

Two years ago I started bringing my body in a better shape. I discovered the kettlebell as my favorite training device and lost 50 kg bodyweight until now. Some month ago I came upon this channel and I am very happy learning about the heavy clubs. The clubs are now indispensable for me. Thanks Mark Wildman for your unique videos, they are so instructive. Simply the best. I am from Germany, excuse my bad vocabulary.

Thanks for making all these. The channel has been hugely helpful. I am currently running an ABC with single club (20lb and 25lb (600 reps with 20 today!)), two hand Mill Squat (35lb and 45lb), and kettlebell squat, C&P and swings (mainly 32kg) for the past couple months. Progress has been really solid. The flow of the week is nice with the heavy light days. I really enjoy kettlebell and heavier two hand club, but the single hand club has without a doubt been the most beneficial. The balancing it is providing is pure gold. I do a lot of manual work- farming, chop wood, shovel snow. Club makes all of it better.

Sword fingers is a cool idea! Years ago I enjoyed the one spring season my work had a softball league and started to wonder how I might train for underhand pitching if I played the position after watching. It's interesting to me because I think the swings would be solid training for underhand throwing and then the circles would be suited for overhand throwing. It seems like to me the complexity progressions align if that makes sense and if I'm thinking correctly LOL

Thanks for making more single-hand club videos @Mark ! That cue about keeping it in a lateral line is incredibly useful. I've never hit myself in the leg with clubs so far, but keeping this cue in mind will be good. Having taken a break for clubbing since I kept tweaking my left elbow, this video is really making me want to start up again. I haven't progressed past my 15 lbs. single-hand since last year; that being the case, do you believe I should build the weight back up from 3.5 lbs. before trying to progress farther or could just start a volume cycle at my previous weight and go from there ?

To keep the club swinging in a lateral plane, do you have to lean/hinge slightly forward?
@pulltaboo Жыл бұрын
No, you rotate your entire body while remaining upright. It's a very good idea to start with 2-handed circles to get a grip on how to do so.
