Dude, you are the man. I do not not like working with social media. I don’t want to post. I have no desire to shape a scene to share. I would let someone else do the work. I applaud the work you put in. Thank you for sharing. Best.

I love these. As a KB instructor of the 'not as young as we used to be set' these are always in the warm up.... AW warms up more than just the belly part of the core but the hips to shoulders core. It also allows students to set their grip, to get their full body foundation & get their foot foundation as well. I think if these the same as Mountain pose in yoga as the foundation and prep for what's coming next. As always your instructions are perfect.

I've done this. It does fire the core.

Mark I do a back swing across the back of my body then a frort swing across my body to the end range of the movement and away from my body in the front and in the back single arm instead

Love These. As someone who teaches KB classes to a 'not as young as we used to be' group, these are always in our warm up. You warm up not just the core (what most think of as the belly area) but the hips to shoulders core. It also allows my classes to get their grip set, to focus the mind and to get their foundation in feet too. I think of this much like tadasana (mountain pose) in yoga as it helps set your foundation for what's coming next. As always your instructions as perfect.

I actually think the figure 8 is a much better full body and core warm up exercise. I see a lot of people using this though.

you say to shift body and counter balance the weight, while others say make your body stable and not to counter balance the weight. what will be the difference of results between the two?

Ive tried these so many times, I must be doing something wrong as I hardly feel them.

I would posit that you are either pretty good at them, thus not needing them as he said, or you need to use a greater weight.

Go heavier and do more reps. You'll feel it.

Hey Mark. I thought we’re supposed to avoid too much torso movement when passing the bell around. Does it matter if the torso has minimum movement or not?

The difference is conditioning. If you do heavy club swinging program on a good scientific data recording path, then changing the alignment of your spine is not a big deal.
