It's 2022, and I was asked to play this song recently. I pulled up the old original live show that was really good. This is one of those perfect melodies that just flow on the guitar and whether a singer is doing it or the guitar player who can sing while playing, it just slides along like a stream through the woods... I'll be playing this regularly now. It gets everyone singing along without coaxing. Just like this in this video. A great song that should be in the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Thanks to Dean Ford for his wonderful talent. And all the musicians involved.

I think this came out while I was a Senior in HIgh School. The war in Vietnam was raging, as was the local draft board inducting 18 year old lads. Kent State shooting happened later that year. Things were pretty bad. I'll always remember this song. Great song because it describes the way I felt.

"New" member Sandy Newman has been the lead singer for The Marmalade since 1975/76. Sounds very much like Dean Ford. I LOVE Dean but love Sandy too!

All these decades later - this song is so special, so meaningful. SO IMPACTFUL. A defining song for an entire generation. For MY GENERATION. Its 2022 and this is an anthem for today's generation too. For Ukrainians. For all of us standing WITH Ukrainians - worldwide. The world IS a terrible place - as long as it is controlled by a monster world leader who the UN refuses to demand stand down. The world recognized Ukrainians right to tell Putin to shove off. He doesnt control any of Europe, except his nation. The world is a terrible place until we ensure Ukrainians have every inch of their nation safely back with them. WE STAND WITH UKRAINE - until then. 100 percent.
