The bottom line is this: society is currently at its peak level of narcissism. If you’re a narcissist, you’re not capable of being in a functional marriage let alone a functioning monogamous relationship because to have that you have to put your partner’s needs ahead of your own. Today, everything is about immediate gratification and what can I get out of this person instead of finding a good person and growing together as a couple through the ups and downs of life. That’s why our grandparents marriages lasted until one of them died because it takes character and respect for your spouse to hang in there with them when things aren’t great, instead of being selfish and bailing. And no intelligent man wants to commit to someone who will bail on him when things get tough, divorce him and take half of his assets, and basically hold his children hostage so he becomes a stranger to them.

Marriage isn't outdated, the government involvement in it is. Like with everything the get their claws into, just more and more regulations, more cost, more interference. I looked it up the big intervention began during ww1 to shore up population by encouraging people to get married and have children with tax breaks. Then there are people like myself who know why having children in this era isn't safe, it's selfish, and bringing an innocent life into existence for your own happiness is sad. Because they will have to pay. There are so many kids now that are in trouble big time and have no food or water. No doctor. Teenagers who can't read. I'm an empath an children and animals are my main favorites that I like to help and look after. I've seen many that don't seem to care much about kids are adults who actually have kids and just don't really care. The people who care know what's best to do. God isn't wanting people to stop having babies, but to fix and worry about what's going on right now because for a good future, it's important. Giving birth is the most beautiful thing a woman can do. But doing it in a time right now hurts the baby and they didn't ask for it.

I, a female, was raised by a single father. My siblings, from my mother's other marriage, were raised by her alone. One sibling has passed from an overdose, the other 2 are unfortunately not long for this world due to the same drug choices. Ya, women just are terrible as single parents. Especially today. Because at least before, you could tell a woman she was bad at something. Now, women only get affirmation. So they have no idea what they're doing wrong, because anything they do is "right". The feminist movement has now put women in a situation where they can't succeed. It's why you'll see so few movies from women that are not only box office successes, but relevant staying power into the future, because there's just no feedback. Kathleen Kennedy(I know, not a director), can't fix her studio because who the hell can tell a girl boss she's screwing up? It's one of the biggest reasons dating in America is utter hell. The women today have heard no/negativity so rarely, they don't how to cope or take it. And with the rise of more and more lesbian relationships, and men who might as well be women, there is no masculine anchor in society anymore. I'm terrified of world war now. There's not enough real men to hold the rest of the men in rank. A long world war where we have to draft people.... We can't do that... Only 15% of the men are even fit enough to do it. And I actually think we're stupid enough to put women on the front lines. No way I'm putting my life in the hands of women to run through enemy fire to pull my injured self to safety. Just visualizing it now makes me laugh. That's idiotic testorone that makes men do that. Makes men run into machine guns at dday. Women aren't doing that.... I got married during CV lockdown, I had to wait almost 60 days to get a marriage license. My husband and I wanted to keep costs down, so we planned on a civil wedding, the calendar was booked for 60 days, so had to have someone who could officiate at our home for $300. Got a pretty wedding dress online for $65, ring at Amazon for $30 for me and $25 for my spouse. I picked up a cake at the bakery for $30, celebrated with 1 bottle of Champagne + 2 bottles of non alcoholic sparkling cider. Total cost was less than $700. Due to the health crisis, we didn't honeymoon until it was over. But one doesn't need to spend a lot to get married, celebrated with a few friends, had our dogs with us.

Even if she moves in and has a child with another man once she establishes residency, it’s not easy to legally get her out. If you try to throw her out she can press charges on you for DV if you tell her to get out she can refuse and then you might have to get a lawyer to get her out like these people dealing with squatters who move in while they are out. It’s best never to put yourself in that position by living with a woman.

Well men are and always have been loyal in marriage. The problem is women. Women do not want to contribute a single thing in a marriage, not one thing at all. They don’t see marriage as a commitment and duty, they see it as a perk they benefit from. Women want the wedding, the ring, the status, the security and the power a marriage offers. She doesn’t care for anything else, not even love. The moment she has all of these things without the marriage, she’ll leave…and they do. Also, divorce is quite easy now. A woman going through some random emotional spell can in that rut have a divorce done and dusted with just a few phone calls. So for a man marrying a woman he is banking on her in say 50 years of marriage, his wife can not have a bad week or month otherwise it’s over and she profits from terminating it. Given the unreliable emotional state of women and the fact that they are easily influenced and will be bombarded regularly with “girl power” messaging from outside forces suggesting she leave…that’s not a safe bet. A man would need to be near perfect and his wife not doing a single thing but just living in luxury like cleopatra and even then, it’s still improbable that she would stay.

Its not that young people are opposed to marriage. This would be the 2nd generation of single parent households. The kids today saw their parents divorce and saw the results and do not want that. Women being modern and wanting a traditional man. But those same women are not traditional. Young men see that they have to work 10x harder than their grandfathers for a mediocre woman with no life skills other than a college degree. Lifetime Alimony, Child support laws, family court, divorce courts are stacked against men. PBD knows you don't sign a contract that only benefits only one party. My parents met each other with nothing and built it up. My last relationship, she lost her job when we met and I was there for her. A year later I lost my job and she bailed on me. She chose partying with her friends, drinking, and not be there for my hard times. But I was dumb to be there when she was going through her bad times. Men like me who are 41 with no kids and never been married. If I chose a younger woman I get labeled a craddle robber. Women my age are the ones that skipped me over for the bad boy who left them, divorced, bitter with baggage. I was taught by my parents work hard, be honorable, be faithful, be respectul, don't bring shame, and etc and women say they want that but always tell me "You would make a great husband..(to someone else)" or "You would make a great father.....(For someone else)" I focus on me, keep to my lane and keep it going. I want marriage, kids and a wife. The older I get the harder is for me to get married and risk everything to be taken away from me to a woman and court system. But women that I met want the ceremony but not be wives, want to have kids but not be mothers. Best thing is to no participate in a rigged game. Change my mind.

I’m 57 years old, never married and no kids. I believe in marriage and family but I also believe it’s not for everyone. When I was growing up there were older people in my neighborhood who never married or had kids. My parents who thank God were married 60 years both had cousins in their families who never married or had kids it wasn’t seen as weird they just seen as people who never married or had kids end of story. Also in my case I was able to be my Dad’s full time caregiver when he was in his last days as my Mom had passed away 6 years earlier. I was thanking God I was single with no kids cause I knew I couldn’t attend to him the way I was able if I had my own wife and family to provide for as well. I do find this report disturbing cause again I believe marriage to be a Sacrament and children a blessing and to avoid these things out of selfishness is one thing but don’t fall into the trap of saying a single life is a wasted life no matter what. If you’re an older single person with no kids and will most likely stay that way then busy yourself doing good works.

I've been through family court and believe me as a man it is BRUTAL!!! And I ended up winning and raising our daughter and another foster daughter as a single father. Cost me a small fortune not to even mention one judge threatening me with jail time because I refused to take our daughter back to a totally biased female psychologist that had to do the family assessment. Besides the family law system is 99% women that is very anti men. I'm a Big Believer in marriage but I'd advise to think long and deep on it. Even just moving in together because in most western countries after living together a certain time you're regarded as to be in a common law "marriage". But at least I could keep my daughters safe. I'll do it again in a heartbeat!!!

And I'm Very HAPPY to report my blood daughter has, after all these years, reunited with her mother (which was what I Prayed for) after the ex pulled herself together. So now I have to step back a bit and allow them to rediscover each other and their Special mother/daughter connection. Both my daughters have finished high school now, moved into their own flats, and just started studying for a degree. It was a looooong old trek with heavy lifting, but I'm Super Proud of both of them! So now it's just me and my Trusted and Loving, Gentle German Shepperd left. But I'm a grisly old veteran, and we'll be ok, I suspect. Now I can start getting better after some very serious medical problems as well as my PTSD. Such is Life. Ps: I'm not patting myself on the shoulder in any way, shape or form but society Need to realise there are millions and millions of men out there that Still Takes Care care of their "Bussines"! I'm in a relationship. We plan on having kids together. I plan on spending my life with her. We are both disabled veterans. I see literally no reason (aside from taxes) to involve the government in my relationship. You can have a ceremony, you can have a reception, you can legally change your last name; all without applying for a marriage license. Just think about that concept for a minute, too. The government wants me to be licensed for marriage. Like it's a privilege that I have to ask permission for from the government to do; similar to a drivers license. No thank you. I feel blessed to live in a country where people still take religion seriously. I'm still single, but all my 8 siblings never divorce or sleeping around. Never seen/heard any of them have big/serious fight with their spouse that threaten the family union except one. But even they decided to stay together for the kids. They were glad they did that. Same goes for my parents. Never had any serious fight as far as I remember. It ls only recently I realize how much of a blessing growing in such family. As result my nieces and nephews grew up with healthy perception of a family. The grown up ones amongst them all plan to marry.

For some people that’s true but I think the majority of people genuinely go into marriage because they think they are in love. The problem is with 50% of marriages ending in divorce, 85% of black women never even making to the alter but just having babies out of wedlock, and other marriages that are just dysfunctional, there are just a small percentage of kids today growing up with an example of what is love , a healthy marriage and family. Because through social media, and through the world of entertainment marriage has been labeled as an antagonizing experience, especially for men. When in fact that is far from the truth. People who have had bad experiences with this sacred covenant, lacked the necessary information and knowledge that was needed for this intimate experience. And this is why dating is set up the way it is. Dating prepares the man and the woman for this experience. This is why dating should never be approached by a man or a woman as a casual experience. There is nothing casual or common about dating. Because dating is the training ground. This particular realm (dating) teaches the man and the woman what to expect in the sacred covenant of marriage. Dating also sheds light on the work that the man and the woman must do in order to build a healthy and substantial relationship together. Dating is the preparation. This particular work is intimate apart from sexual relations. When men and women experiment with sex during this process they end up ruining their chance to come into greater and much deeper encounters with intimacy and with love. Dating trains and teaches the man and the woman about their value and how they are built to give language to covenant and to a bond that is very real. A real covenant cannot be established between a man and a woman if they remain in the dating phase. It does not matter if the man and the woman has been together for 15 or 20 years in this phase, they are still dating. And there is no real covenant established between them. A man and a woman cannot have a fulfilling and committed relationship outside of the sacred covenant of marriage. That is an insult to both the man and the woman and the value that they both identify with as intimate beings. Because if a man and a woman can "play house", why not build one for real under the sacred covenant of marriage. They both end up shortchanging themselves of the benefits that come with the covenant. Just dating each other will not give the man and the woman access to those intimate experiences. Because those particular benefits are for marriage only. And those benefits have the power to take the man and the woman into experiences that surpass the natural encounters that they are exposed to in the relationship. And there are young people today who think marriage is a form of bondage when it is not that at all. And this is why they need to learn the truth about this intimate experience. And they need to learn the truth about the building process that comes with this kind of commitment. People have to built for this kind of experience. And not everyone is willing to do the work in order to have a authentic process with this particular kind of structure. As I have shared before, marriage separates the men from the boys and the women from the girls. This is one relationship that cannot be approached with a carnal or casual mindset. This relationship requires a different kind of focus and a person's mind and heart has to built properly in order to take on this kind of commitment. And for the man of valour who stated that there is a difference in value when it comes to the sexual practices of men and women. I have to disagree. If a man takes his body and hand it over to multiple sexual encounters, he is not any better than a woman who moves in that fashion. Both genders are cheapening their value when they mishandle their sexual natures through loose and careless sexual encounters with other people. The Most High God does not see a difference in those kind of behaviors. Everything this man said is so true, the concept of marriage has fell through the cracks. They no longer respect the vows they speak before God when they marry. They think it is just words that don't matter but it does matter. I got divorced from a very violent man and it still hurt my sons but they understood but it still did hurt. So I was so grateful and by Gods blessing I found a REAL man who took all of us and LOVED all of us and he taught the boys what they needed to know, the things as a mom and woman is not capable of teaching young boys. I knew that. Yes children need both mother and a strong father. It is just the way it is.
