I am so truly sorry for your loss loss I just lost my brother in law he was living with bone cancer for the past seven years and got killed in car accident!! His nephew had passed in November he was only 36!! My sister was married to him for several years and I lost her to cancer in 2017. We were extremely close. She was diagnosed in July and gone n August. It was heartbreaking!! I also lost a friend who was only 27 in 2022. I feel your pain and loss.

From the short story it was based on, he cheats on her and they get back together to try and make it work but she cant live or without him so she kills herself. Thats why half of her face was a mirror, cause she used a large caliber on her head. The entire wedding is a dream and only the funeral is real.

This band when egos are checked at the door are an amazing group. 10:02 the guitar solo is 100% Slash. He improvised the solo for the song. He was also scared of the helicopter shooting his solo scene cause it kept getting too close. 12:37 and surprisingly they didn’t catch their hair on fire. For so long cigarettes were (maybe still are) a social thing. People smoked to be social. My wife’s grandma always had a cigarette and a drink in her hand at social events. My grandma smoked but always tried to do it away from everyone but we always went to her cause she was fun to be around. My grandfather quit smoking cold turkey one day when he forgot his cigarettes in his truck and realized it as he was heading in the lake to fish. He didn’t feel like hiking back to the truck. My dad was truly addicted he would smoke even with the stop smoking devices. 15:04 they do that sometimes when they want an open casket but the person had head damage (usually from suicide).

The woman playing the bride was actually Axles on again off again girlfriend at the time. She was a model back in the 80's and she kept giving him chance after chance until she finally realized he wasn't gonna grow up and stop running around on her and she finally left him for good.

Actually SHE tried to kill him and was very abusive towards him in their relationship to the point where he tried to k!ll himself. But of course, just because he's a "bad" rockstar and it's relationship between man and woman, it's always man's fault xD - coming from a lady :)

from what i understand, and if you look back closely there are clues in the clip, she was suffering from a depression and killed herself. ( you can see her looking away with a sad face on what should be happy moments and at one time you see her silhouette walking up to a gun store)

I wish to add during the time this song was written Cigarettes was labeled as "cool " and "everyone should do it". I hate to say this but pretty much 2000's rock is about self harm. Its a way to connect to their listeners.

Good reaction to a classic. But just to explain the video, it was actually the 2nd part of a 3-part song/video series by GnR. Anyway, the story is, that Axl Rose's character had a fiance, but he cheated on her and she ended up taking her own life with a gun. The entire wedding scene is him dreaming of himself and his then-alive fiance actually getting married. But that wedding never took place. What actually took place at the church was her funeral rites. Also regarding the fiance's casket, that mirror in there next to her face since she took her own life. That practice (with the mirror in the casket) is an old Catholic custom, if I'm not mistaken. I'm Catholic, but I only vaguely recall that, so I'm not 100% certain.

My favorite gnr's song is COMA. Althought it's not about wedding, it would be amazing if you'd react to it. It describes person desire to not be here anymore - but people bring him back, without his consent - friends and doctors. He feels alone and wants it all to end, but (in my interpretation) decides to just go through it - even without anyone (axl many times, also in song above ("I know it's hard to keep an open heart When even friends seem out to harm you But if you could heal a broken heart Wouldn't time be out to charm you"). I'm sure you can find the emotional connection to Jesus Christ and Christians who even under massive traumas and pressure still decide to go on (for Him). Although the best part about this song is how it makes nearly everyone emotional (and Axl's inner lyricism genius is really showcased). Hope to see this reaction soon. God Bless!
