I’ve followed these videos and it was going so well. But I screwed up one time and lost my cool over something that was bothering me. She ended up handing me the ring back and I told her she was of course free to go, although I didn’t want her to. She said when I got home from work the next day, she would be gone. The next day when I got home, she was hanging out with her sister in the living room. I walked in in a happy mood and just communicated like there was nothing wrong. I did notice the ring back on her finger. She and I just casually talked for the rest of the day and I did not react to anything. She said, “I’ve blocked out everything that happened, so I’m not ready to talk yet.” I responded, “that’s okay”. We have two kids and we have been conducting ourselves as happy parents in front of them. She gave me a kiss before going to work and I’m sitting at home not messaging her. I feel like this is the best thing to do, to give her space until she brings it up. I’m pretty confident in how I will act when she wants to talk, but I’m open for any ideas as to how I should respond to her or if I should just agree that I acted like an ass. I guess I just didn’t realize one slip up could be so damaging and I learned my lesson. I’ve got to control my emotions better.

this one was well laid out. a very well thought out sequence of actions. Going through the giving her space phase-day 1. Not easy... a new kind of hell that i have to negotiate. Appreciate the "what not to do's" in this situation. Personal development?; I am workaholic to some extent, or more OCD on my projects control and successes-sucks; I can fix an aircraft and lead a crew with great success, but hove found myself clueless in this new situation with the most important person in my life. From my personal experience of being married for 12 years, whenever my wife gets angry and sometimes mentions divorce, listens without arguing much with her (useless when they are angry), I usually just listen until she finishes talking then if I can feed she doesn't want to talk, I ignore her and for a few days (sometimes up to a week) untill she comes down and starting talk again.

Aside from being the typically overly simplistic advice that won’t work with any woman I’ve ever known, this one did at least give me a laugh. I loved the advice of “pick her up and spin her around”. I’ve always been in pretty good shape but I couldn’t have done that with any of my three wives.
