Philip Ghearing so this song indicates she's screwing the groom and herself as well as the old flame all at once... But not showing she made a choice, and the old flame wasn't the right one for whatever reason... Timing, family issues, greed , stronger love, different love etc etc... good or bad? Poor decisions? Dang. You are right! I watched an interview and I guess I misinterpreted it.. I just looked up another one and he says "We wrote that song from a place that could have been my life. Everybody has those moments in life where they can either go left or go right, and if you go left, you’ll never know what could have been in the other direction. That’s where I was at a certain point with my now-wife, Lauren. The song was written out of this space where I knew that if I had never told Lauren how I felt about her, I probably have been invited to her wedding and would have watched her marry somebody else. I probably wouldn’t have been quite as sad as the guy in the music video for the song, but it would definitely still have wrecked me" I was wrong!. Thanks for the heads up!

Its amazing to see many women still get married knowing months or years in advance knowing damn well it isn't gonna work out. Ladies if you have the slightest doubt in your mind or heart still belongs to someone else for Gods sake dont get married. I've been in this situation, Exept This was actually a dating scenario. I loved one boy but another one had a crush on me and asked me out...I thought maybe because he never noticed me that I should say yes to the current boy who asked me out. It was a mistake, because the boy who asked me out and we started dating threatened to kill himself, and the boy I like didn't do anything about it. He thought I was happy and because I had a "boyfriend" he stayed away from me. I always wondered if he felt the same way about me, that i do for him. Probably not. However when I told someone what he said to me they reported him and I finally broke up with him after that the dance came up I decided to go with my friends but I wounded up walking off to my favorite spot in the school only to be surprised by my crush asking for a dance. I guess someone told him how I felt and he felt bad for me, but later on I realized that wasn't the case, he genuinely cared about me, and well I started to date him and it was the happiest relationship I'd ever been in!
