I’m a seasoned cook but always learn something new when I watch Martha Stewart’s videos.

Me too, I would try the chicken like this, the mashed too, as I Use a hand beater and they come out quick but gluey. The mussels NO, but the salmon in steamer looks pretty good.

We really miss seeing her shows Martha Cooks & Martha Bakes every Saturday Morning on WTTW What Happened? My 96 year old Mother Loves to watch the cooking Shows. She still asks "Where's Martha Stewart"?
@anniegao91053 жыл бұрын
Well on Martha Bakes I did find out all season 9 videos have been deleted, as well as some in season 3, 7, and 8
@tobconnected3 жыл бұрын
@@anniegao9105 Thank you so much for taking the time to respond with this information. Maybe it was some type of contrual issue. I've notice most cooking shows on WTTW has been the same for several years with some being reruns that are over 6 years ago. Martha Stewart seems to be the only shows missing from that Saturday lineup now. Thank you again.

MS is avoiding too much new exposure as she is aging and a bit wobbly in thought. You can tell from her last attempts at doing live Facebook. The best thing is she has softened a lot with age, could care less about her image, giving more memory of her career span, giving more overall as even this series was on paid PBS when it aired. She has sold off some of her properties and is probably more fulltime in Maine now at her Skylands property. Her production companies/ managers are guarding her well in this respect, but of course, she remains her own manager. She is retiring slowly spending more time with her grandchildren.

This was filmed one year ago, and Martha is currently 81... I mean, say what you want...but Martha looks amazing! And it's not just cosmetic surgery, as some have implied. Cosmetic surgery cannot make someone look that young and natural! Martha simply has great genetics and she has taken good care of herself...especially her skin!

The only - well main - question I have regarding 'Steaming' particularly in parchment pape is the term 'until done'. How can you check for doneness without opening the parchment and having a lokk. Even piercing with an instant read thermometer releases the steam.

Anyone know why Martha says it is a healthier alternative to have the food on the parchment wrapped in foil, and she does not recommend just foil without parchment??? I’ve made fish packets before and did not use parchment but just foil! Is this bad??

Can chicken breast or sirloin tip be steamed inside the bamboo steamer?
@veronicarossi80742 жыл бұрын
I wanted to know how to steam cook chicken but she just wrapped it in its parcel and placed it in the oven... Would that be considered steamed, not baked? Mmm, also when using the bamboo steamer one should always use parchment paper, especially with fish, otherwise the bamboo is gonna retain the smell... Anyway, I'm ordering a steamer basket and make that yummy mash. Thank you!
