I'm so glad to see Martin finally went to the hospital. I'm praying he will stay there for treatment. The hospital will keep him with his infection. As long as he is honest and upfront with the doctor, they will make sure he's admitted to the hospital. I pray he goes into a rehab program after he's released. Martin is there, he wants it! I also had a past with blues so I KNOW HOW ADDICTIVE THEY ARE! My breaking point was almost losing my life in a car accident. Multiple surgeries, infections in my leg, it changed me! With no warning I left my home state and moved 1000 miles away, left everything behind cold turkey! Martin you got this, I see your breakthrough happening. Time to be selfish and focus on yourself and pray that Latonya will find her way too! Martin - please hang in there bro. You can make it. I was an IV drug user, lost everything. I weighed 118lbs when I went into rehab in 2021 (I'm 6'0). Arms were destroyed due to fetty/xylazine. I'm now almost 2 years sober. Things can get better. I'm living proof. Don't give up, get on methadone or suboxone.

I am a patient care assistant so I work hands on with patients and have had many homeless people come in and then go through withdrawal while with us it is so crazy some times we will get a code red which is fire and then find out someone was smoking it in their room this drug is unbelievable it is just so sad.

It’s good he’s going to the hospital because his body could go septic and he’ll be fighting for his life. Martin, please be honest with the doctor so that they can help you with detox. I took suboxone for 3 years and weaned myself off with no problem, but every day is a fight no matter what. Only YOU can want it. Sometimes in life you need to be selfish and just think about yourself and what’s best for you. It’s sick how people think that all people on drugs are the same. You can get addicted to drugs if you’re in a bad car accident, anxiety, etc. people are addicted to cigarettes, alcohol, food, sex, exercising, etc. Keep your head up Martin. I can see that you really want to be free from the burden of addiction

I've been on methadone for 12 years. I was a IV Heroin and cocaine addict for 26 years total. Hearing/seeing Martin just takes me back to all those excuses I used to use for not getting clean. I never had serious medical issues like this, but, I did rebel against treatment. I had 2 abcesses that required medical treatment in the years I used and both times I was immediately admitted to the Hospital and put on IV Antibiotics. The Doctors kept me medicated as far as pain medication so I could be treated. I remember one Doctor told me if they know a person is addicted to opiates and needs treatment for a abcesses or anything like that, they will keep the person medicated so they can treat them. They know a addict is not going to stay in the Hospital and get treatment if they are in withdrawal. I pray Martin gets help.❤
