I have Hashimoto’s. I have hypothyroidism. I have all symptoms. I’m not overweight. My thyroid numbers are in range. And I continue to feel badly. But, when younger I needed to be strict with my diet in order to keep my weight down. I have the gene mutations of MTHFR. I had mono at 12 yrs old. I had PCOS. I had gut issues. I am hypoglycemic. I have adrenal fatigue. I have dizziness. Depression and anxiety. Body and joint pain. I have gluten and dairy sensitivities. Totally agree with all the viruses playing a huge part in Hashimoto’s. Thank you for the information.

I’m a thin Hashi’s patient with history of Endometriosis, IC, EBV, Raynaud’s and fibromyalgia. Pregnancy was the final trigger after the viral attack. Great video. This all makes sense now.

Wow! You guys actually explained some about having Hashimotos but losing weight in the beginning or shortly after being diagnosed. I have been so confused and worried because everything I see talks about how to lose weight with Hashimotos and I have done nothing but lose weight and been very sick and didn’t understand how Hashimotos could make me this sick. I’ve been nauseous and severely fatigued but it seems to come in episodes. I am seeing a functional Medicine doctor soon to get to the root cause hopefully

I was diagnosed with hashimotos 22 years ago. It started out with over active never put on pills was told just let it go by my doctor. lost weight and eventually went back to normal after 2 years. Still thin today. I'm sure one day it will go under active but till then i won't take pills. I would never want over active thyroid symptoms again

I am the thin hashimotos patient. I feel awful most of the time and I’m grateful for the doctor that finally tested my antibioties. But now what can I do to feel better? Also I don’t want to gain weight
@DrMartinRutherford3 жыл бұрын
The best thing you can do is find out what systems are not functioning right and what your triggers are. Once these are handled you should start to feel much better in most cases. Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this and needs to be handled on a case by case basis. If you are interested in scheduling a consultation to review your case you can find out more here powerhealthconsult.com

@@DrMartinRutherford Thank you! I got canadian flu in 2019 and I have never been the same since. Before that I had headache with aura on and off for 10 years then I got a massive headache that didn't go away for 10 months. No stroke... My first Er visit for my eyes conjunctivitis. When I shaved my head I found Nevas flammeus vascular stains all over where the nerve block injection would go. I also have faint nevas midback and giant nevas simplex lowest back. In 2 years my right eye vision went from -200 to -75. Thank goodness I found ginger root icetea for all the inflammation. I have an undiagnosed CNSD. If these stains were on my face they would say Sturge-weber. My father and 2 brother's are O neg. I am a O+. I was born with depression and nausea. I take Tryptophan for mood and sleep. I was also a bed wetter which makes me think children like this have a cnsd. Your videos are great , thank you for taking the time. I'm worse because of side impact trauma I survived. First impression with my P.A Him:. Your B/p is 190.. Me: O that, I have white coat syndrome.

Please talk about treatments ! I do believe food does play an important part of it. Hoshimotos , Always thin , and have high antibodies , my thyroid has been normal for 10 years , high antibodies only. And recently my numbers were very low and I have Graves’ disease , now dealing with chronic pain. I don’t take medication and I’m going through menopause

Treatment is complex in these cases and not the same for everyone. Here is a series we did breaking down how we feel functional medicine should be delivered. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y3TWh4yNrMqYmdk

I am petite and weigh 56 kilos so very slim and have had Hashimoto’s for 20 years. I burn my calories very quickly and, need to eat more than my husband as I'm always hungry (even as a child) and need to keep my blood sugar levels stable . I also think my adrenals which have weakened over the years also plays apart in my inability to gain weight. I know most people would think I was lucky and to a point I guess I am. Being a shapely British size 8 at 54 is quite rare but I exercise every day and work hard to keep healthy and in shape. It's a horrid disease how ever you look. It takes away your quality of life and affects you both physically and mentally. I wish I lived in the US as in the UK GPs have no idea how to treat it properly, or even which tests to do or how to interpret them correctly.

Wow. I am now a senior citizen. I believe I had Hashimoto's most of my life. I was thin but not interested in gaining weight. I am now overweight without overeating. I am pretty sure I am insulin resistant but struggling to get the docs to understand this. The primary doctor who first gave me the diagnosis of Hashi's is hostile and thinks I am eating junk food.Thank you for discussing this!
