VERY well put man. The phrasing is what makes a guitar player memorable. Plus you have to have the shade and the light ya know? It can't be all "weedly, weedly". If this solo was all fast runs, then that last part wouldn't stand out as it does. This is a great solo, bar none.

@foreversuperficial2712 жыл бұрын
yes. and that's exactly why it's not that good. when i first heard this, the very first thing i've noticed is how flawless the other guy's soloing is then, when marty started playing, it's sloppy at times and even goes off-beat at times... but that's exactly why it's "better". it's just much much more soulful and it really sounds like a master on his own craft whereas the first one it really sounded like "a guitarist who memorised the solo"
@sirspongadoodle2 жыл бұрын
@@foreversuperficial271 i disagree, being clean isnt something that robs the "soul" from your playing why would it??, nobody can play "flawless" its the same reason why sloppy double tracks sound bad but clean double tracks sound amazing.. the reason he sounds worse is purely his vibrato..

@@nathanrudd2327 You are wrong, he was a great lead guitar player, many solos from Peace Sells were played by Dave, as well as in the album So Far So Good So what, and through out his whole career Just watch the early shows of Megadeth and see it yourself even in Rude Awakening he played a lot of solos and he played those.ñ much better than Al Pitrelli I could see there Dave was better than him and probably better than Marty He had an accident on his left hand so today he is not as good but he used to be one of the best lead guitar players of metal

I was there in the front row waiting for that epic moment and then they played us false jajajajajaja But well, the little act just uprised Marty's solo. What a great show.

The kid played it very well, but Marty has that certain fluidity that simply can't be replicated.

You know you have a good ear when you get the juice when marty starts playing solo

To be fair I think it has more to do with Marty who is actually playing than your ear
