Excellent work, Marty! You put those decals on without a hitch! The finished product is fantastic! I really admire the refuse workers we have here in the States. Here in NC, they have not missed a single trash pick-up day during the Covid-19 Crisis, and they are obviously exposed to greater risks than other essential workers. They are brave and awesome individuals who have my total respect.

Thanks for the weekly installment of fun relaxing "watching someone else work" video! I believe the hole in the front ( 1:05 ) is for clearing rubbish that may become stuck inside ( for instance when a child plays with it - wierd, I know, right? playing with it? ) since it might get tricky depending what was forced in there. Have a great week! Can't wait for the next video!

Well Marty. I think you have done another amazing job. I'm not sure what I like the best, the renovation of the model, or the skits you put in the video. I knew the boomerang was going to come back when you threw it, but sure enough I forgot about it until it came back, and honestly thought there was something wrong with the audio for a second.... I love it... I don't know what's worse, the fact that I knew the joke was coming, and didnt expect it, or the fact that I expected the joke but forgot it was coming. Keep making me smile, please. I really enjoy watching.

Well just have to say Marty , another spot-on resto of a classic Matchbox. Always love the humour and it always inspires me to get a move on and get restoring my rather extensive haul of Matchbox myself. This will get going after I get my Heart fixed which is how I discovered your channel whilst I have been off work since August 2018 awaiting an op. Your vids are enjoyable ,informative , educational and on most occasions dangerous to my health as I roll about in uncontrollable laughter. Cheers Mate and much Admiration from that rare beast a ' non-whinging Pom'.

Hi Marty, I'm watching your vids regularly. A little tip from a long time modeller, you dont need mark setter and softer on flat surfaces, save it for complex ones. If you want to protect the decals, use clear cote over it. Keep up the good work. Cheers

Marty, another marvellous media masterpiece! Thank you! The hole in the tipper body is likely to aid the removal of the body from the mould. The lack of a draw angle and the smooth interior would likely have caused a suction effect. The hole allows air to enter and makes demolding much faster. The “hydro sleeve” is possible short for ‘hydraulic sleeve’ - the ripper would have been activated by hydraulic ram and the outer jacket of the ram sleeves the inner piston. Hope your hand gets better soon!

Hey Marty, thought I'd give you some info on Mr. Mark Softer and when and why it would be used. If you ever need to put a decal on an uneven surface, for example one with a lot of ridges, the Softer will make the decal super malleable and soft so it will conform to the ridges and peaks of the model. Basically ensuring it gets into every nook and cranny. Another scenario where it needs to be used is on old decals that have been sitting around for many years and the adhesive and decal have become rigid and prone to cracking. A lot of old vintage model kits have decals that require a softer to freshen it up since they could be a few decades old. There's also a Mr. Mark Setter which is useful for when you've soaked the decal too long and the adhesive has diluted too much. As its name suggests, it helps set the decal.
