Lex Luthor would study the rings endlessly to create weapons and other technology rather than use them. John Constantine would be utterly ignored. He is NOT very powerful but does know how to get vastly more powerful beings to do stuff for him. If you use Silver age, when MARVEL's superhero universe came to be, Surtur, he would absolute wreck the DCU.

Whoa but in Thor number 400 with the culmination of the big war between Asgard and Seth worser got involved in the end and through the pyramid at the Thor store eventually was able to defeat surtur pretty soundly. true when they were at war with surtur and his forces that Loki Thor and Odin together were only able to temporarily stop him and I believe Odin tackled him down some kind of chasm and I guess that's where they kept fighting but it didn't make any sense because then in somewhere 398 I believe they found Odin chained up in the Black pyramid for some reason but so I guess maybe Seth and surtur were working together but whatever my point is that the war beat him and beat him soundly
